Q: How do I take care of any special service requests (e.g., meals, medical/wheelchair assistance)?

A: Special needs are handled by the airline issuing the ticket. (If you are booking a Hotwire Limited Rate, you will know the specific carrier after you complete your booking.) Please contact the airline directly -- in advance of the departure date -- regarding any special requests (e.g., meals, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks).

Q: How can I request a seat assignment and be sure that my party will be seated together?

A: There is no guarantee that you will be seated together if the flight is full. The earlier you check in for your flight, the greater the chances that you can be seated together. Most airlines allow you to check in online 24 hours in advance of your scheduled departure to obtain/confirm your seat assignments and obtain boarding passes. Instructions can be found on the individual airline's website.

Q: Can I add passengers to the flight I already booked?

A: Hotwire cannot guarantee that you will get the same flight itinerary if you book another Hotwire Limited Rate at a later time. For example, if you book one ticket and get Flight #123 and then book another ticket (with the same exact preferences), you could get flight #234 for this second booking. However if the flight you booked is our other fare, you may be able to add passengers to that flight depending on availability.

If you need to book more than one seat on a flight, be sure to specify the exact number of airline tickets you wish to book on the Flights Preferences page. (You can book up to eight seats at a time.)
