A: No. When you book Hotwire airline tickets, we always show you the final price for round-trip travel per person in U.S. dollars, excluding any possible international airport departure taxes. Taxes are calculated in our total price, so our total price is the price you pay.
Note: International airport departure taxes depend on your destination and are paid at the airport when you leave. Because the tax amount varies, we are unable to include this fee in your airfare total calculation. Departure taxes usually range from $5 to $40. We suggest you contact the airport or research the airport tax at your destination.

A: Airfares change all the time -- generally based on availability and demand -- and it is possible for someone else to grab the last tickets at the quoted price, or for the airline to update its seat availability. Keep in mind that our products move fast, so it's important that you act quickly when you see a price you like. Please note that all of our airfares are subject to availability and not guaranteed until you've completed your booking.

You'll learn what time you depart and arrive after you've booked your reservation. You can pick your days when you book, but your times and your airline are chosen for you. You don't have an assigned seat until check-in, nor do you accrue frequent flyer miles. But rest assured that we partner with a select group of airlines so you can be confident you're flying with a well-known airline. You'll see both your exact flight times and airline once you've booked your reservation.
You'll see fares designated as "Nonstop or one stop" on your search results page. If a connection is required, it will most likely be under 1.5 hours. 80% of flights we book have a connection time of 1.5 hours or less. And domestic connection times are never longer than 3 hours. Connecting times for international flights may be longer.

- Need a little more flexibility for ticket changes

If your airline allows changes, and you wish to make one, you must call Hotwire to make changes prior to the first travel date on your itinerary. Failure to do this may void your ticket completely, and you may not be able to use it for future travel. You must call Hotwire to make changes.
