Best Guest House in Torquay
We have just returned from another weeks holiday at the Glenwood, this is now the fifth time we have visited this Guest house, and once again the hospitality shown by Arthur & Tina French the proprietors was warm and welcoming. The en-suite double room was very clean & comfortable , the full English breakfasts were excellent and if you like us do not want to go out and find food at night the evening meals served by Tina are of the highest quality as she uses all fresh produce.The Glenwood is still in my opinion the best and most reasonably priced place to stay in the Torquay area and we will be returning. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Nice B&B with Friendly owners
This is the second time I have stayed here now and thought I should leave a review. This is a nice little B&B that offers a warm welcome & friendly service. Its an ideal base for a trip the the English Riviera, Its about a 10-15 minute walk down hill to the Town centre & seafront. The Rooms are pretty basic but have what you need, Quiet location at the end of a Cul-de-sac. The Breakfast on offer is not bad either, Cereal, fruit, Full English including a veggie option just what you need after a night out in Torquay.Will stay here again if and when I come back to Torquay.

Lovely place to stay
Very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Plenty of choice at breakfast and an optional evening meal available. The full english breakfast was wonderful and freshly cooked. Bed was comfortable and the immediate area was quiet. Tina and Arthur know the area well and can recommend places worth visiting and suitable for all tastes. Will return.

A very enjoyable stay.
Had a fantastic time. Good location for Torquay town, the beach, Paignton and Newton AbbottThe room was ideal and we were really looked after- Really helpfull. Breakfast was more than enough with a very good choice.Would stay again.

Home from home
We had a 6 night break in Torquay & opted for a guest house.We wanted was a comfortable guest house meeting the following criteria - Clean, Comfortable, Fairly Quiet, Good Breakfasts plus must be fairly close to the railway station.We chose the Glenwood because most of the reviews indicated our criteria would be met.We opted for the King Size room & we're both glad we did - it was spacious, had a VERY comfortable bed, was very clean & offered all the facilities we wanted. The breakfasts were very good - I'm a vegetarian & I was well catered for. We must also agree that Arthur & Tina were both very pleasant, friendly and helpful - suggesting places to visit etc. etc.All in all, a very nice guest house and would highly recommend.
