Stay next door at the Marriott or Doubletree. Terrible Convention Hotel
Wow! we just finished staying at this hotel for 4 nights. Each and every day cleaning service was not done in a timely manner. The only time they came early was when I begged our lady to do so. The hotel is so dated that you look around and see rooms, unused and dilapidated space that may have never been used. It's kind of freaky. The air conditioning is loud and never turns off after fixing the thermostat. After all this we asked for a 2 hour later check-out time and was told that because it was sold out for a convention we could not have one. Only after speaking to the Asst. Manager, Rodney Mejia, I was told the latest we could have would be 30 extra minutes. It did not seem to bother them that service was after 3 each day until I asked for a late check-out. The front desk staff was rude and unbending for this and other requests during our stay. However, the bellmen at the Moto Lobby were great! Though you need to go up and down two (2) elevators to get to them. A real drawaback for going out for a run, or if you have bags and the like.All said and done, we should have stayed behind this hotel whcih is hooked up by a sky -walk. There are 2 hotels, lovely, with services and much nicer amenities behind this one. I would tell everyone who is having a convention to NOT CONSIDER STAYING HERE. Very poor stay. I could go on and on....but its not worth spending the time. Please trust this and stay elsewhere.

Great location, service and close to the bay and cruise port.
We stayed here after we returned from a cruise. It was very nice and the staff was great! Sheets are always the best when you stay at Hilton properties. We are Hilton Honors members... Always free wifi.

Why stay here? Beats me!
Stayed here for 2 nights for a meeting at the hotel. This hotel is out of the way of most of the interesting things in the area. The hotel is tired looking - from the reception to the rooms and bathrooms. You have to take two separate elevators to get outside ( a pet peeve of mine) and the bell man I encountered when trying to get a cab could not have been less interested. We were almost late for a dinner reservation in South Beach as he could not get it together to hail a cab. It was pouring rain however he could have looked like he tried! The breakfast buffet was average and the food at the meeting was sub par. Most of us went to a nearby supermarket to pick up lunch and snacks. I know that this hotel offers cheaper rates than the more exciting hotels - but I would not stay here again.

Good for conferences/ work
Good location and very good services. I was on a confernce but was with my family. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed hanging out at the bar. The buffet breakfast was good and has a decent spread. The room we got was very noisy as it was close to the lift and also the carpets were rather shabby and gave an unclean feeling. We missed a refrigerator in the room as I feel its a must for hot Miami weather to keep our drinks cold.

Great Stay
This was my second return visit to the Miami Downtown Hilton. I had used 12,000 Hilton Honor points and paid $50 for my room rate. In comparison, the room rates at some South Beach hotels were in the $300-$400 a night range. I was upgraded to a corner room suite and had an excellent view of the Port of Miami and convenient access to the Bayside Marketplace via the downtown tram. There were some minor scratches in my room suite #1433 and smudges on the couch as well as the Club Lounge on the sixteenth floor, but this hotel was worth it. The appetizers and drinks in the Club Lounge were great, and overall the service provided by the front desk, housekeepers and Club Lounge staff were excellent. Keep up the great work, and I wouldn't hesitate staying at this Hilton property in the near future.
