Beautiful location but a bit of a let down
A beautifully modern hotel that's impressive when you walks the door for the first time, unfortunately the rest of our stay failed to match up to these first impressions. We ended up waiting at reception for 10 minutes to check in as there were only 2 staff on, on a Friday night. Once we were served, the process was very quick, and a member of staff showed us to our 'very nice' room as it was described by reception staff. Out through a lobby section past the spa, and round a corner we followed the staff member, straight out on to the side street, were he proceeded to take us 100yds down the road to another plain fronted building opposite a couple of bars. This was a new development for the hotel we were told, at this point as he tried to open the door he found the key we had been issued didn't work, eventually he used his own to get us in, and showed us to a reasonable sized double room, with a large window facing directly out over the bars.The staff members can not be faulted on their keenness to help, as he showed us all the facilities and then returned within 4 minutes with a new key for us. On our own nape toon of the room we found the shower still to have hairs in but everything else was fine. I was surprised to see that there was no wifi access, it was advertised on the TV in the room but no signal could be found. On our return from dinner, we found that bars opposite decided to start pumping the music out quite loudly until about 1pm. Noise from adjacent rooms was also heard quite clearly, so let this be a warning to all. A beautiful hotel in a great location, but I'm glad we got it at a last minute price as I don't feel the double deserves any more than ¿¿99 considering the issues we had. 5* hotel but 3* stay.

Great location and service
I stayed at the hotel for 1 night in April 2013 with my partner. I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the quality service we received. Our bags were taken to our room upon check in and the facilities within the room explained to us. The bed was so comfortable, firm but not too hard, and the duck feather pillows were divine. The bathroom is modern as is the rest of the room and the bathroom has great lighting and a part of the mirror is steam resistant. The lighting within the hotel room was ok but could have been better. There is also a spa and swimming pool with steam and sauna rooms within the hotel complex for relaxation. The two bars have a lovely quiet atmosphere but is a little pricey compared to elsewhere. All in all I thought the hotel was very good value for money and a great location for getting around the City of London. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others travelling from outside of London and also to those living in London who fancy a treat.One thing i would say is that there is no mobile phone reception in the building it would seem, so the hotel offers free wifi throughout which makes up for that.

Love this hotel
My partner and I have stayed at this hotel several times and absolutely love it. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the hotel staff can not do enough for you. The hotel bar is lovely, the breakfast can not be faulted (other than the cold toast, which is to be expected). Such a warm and welcoming hotel. The location is fantastic as its less than a 5 minute walk to St Paul's tube station. I would always choose to stay here when visiting London.

Beautiful, modern, and a FANTASTIC night's sleep
This is a very nice modern hotel. The design of the public spaces is great, and the rooms are well-laid out. There are many things that I want from a hotel, and this delivered1) A good night's sleep. Fanatastically comfortable bed, thick curtains that blocked out the light and peace and quiet meant that I had the best night's sleep I have had in ages.2) Nice bathroom with nice toiletries. This delivered here - comfortable well designed bathroom which was spotless. Bathrobes and slippers too (yes I am easily pleased, but it is why I stay places like this as opposed to a Premier Inn)3) Somewhere to sit in the bedroom. Too many places fail on this, but there were two comfortable chairs and a coffee table too.4) Polite, friendly staff, who will look after your luggage when you check out. The staff were great despite the very rude guests they had to deal with!5) Lots of good quality fruit at breakfast. As a vegan, this is crucial. The breakfast was very nice, and the bread rolls were great too. Coffee was hot and strong as well. The place breakfast was served in was lovely. I would not pay extra for the breakfast (over ¿¿20!), but it was added into the room rate and I enjoyed it greatly.It was odd that we could not get into the fridge, but I has refused to give my credit card details for the minibar, so it must have been locked remotely for that reason. Other than that, it was a lovely room, and a great stay.

Great location
Had breakfast with an old friend in this hotel before he flew home. The location cannot be faulted. Modern interior with lots of glass. At 8.30am the restaurant was very busy and probably on its second seating.Great choice of fresh fruit and cold buffet. The cooked breakfast was adequate but not fantastic. The hash brown, mushrooms and scrambled eggs were good.The bacon was a big let down and overdone. The sausages were average. More was expected for a 5 star hotel.
