great stay, free brekky and top location
Stayed in a lot of hostels and fancy hotels and this place is in a league of their own. Very clean, warm and friendly. Stayed in double room for 2 nights bathroom close by and all to ourselves. They even had fresh bread and sultana bran for brekky. I could live there.

Cheap and friendly
Highly recommended basic accommodation. Staff very friendly and efficient. Convenient location. Nice old refurbished building. Continental breakfast and wifi and newspapers a real bonus. Stayed twice, smaller rooms a bit cosy but okay for the price. Shared facilities as clean as one could expect. Have stayed twice, will do so again. Parking arrangements convenient and quite cheap for the location.

Basic, clean hotel
We have stayed 5 nights in Melbourne and I was happy with the hotel. Even though the room was tiny and I had to climb to bed every night, but hotel was very clean, OK location with free wifi. even though the bathrooms were shared but they where very clean every time I have entered. Breakfast was good as well, for everyonce taste, with plenty of tea, coffee, juice, milk. Train station was very close as well as the tram station.

Cheap, clean og central guesthouse
Very clean guesthouse. Toilets and shower are located at the end of the hallway and the rooms are quite small but there is free wifi, tv and the guesthouse is located close to a long shopping street and close to trams/train. Breakfast was very simple but adequate. Stayed 2 nights and will go back again next time we are in melbourne

Good Standard for Budget Traveller
My Backpacking days have passed, but am still budget conscious and also looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay.Claremont was a good place to stay in South Yarra. The location is excellent - tram stop outside and also the train station minutes away .Train into the city run every 5 minutes or so and take around 10mins - really easy!I stayed in a single room. It's small and basic (no air con) but its clean and feels secure. Shared bathrooms are good and there are enough available that I never had to wait to use one.Staff are friendly and helpful and the free continental breakfast is good to have.
