Demolish
Toally dissappointing in every respect except the view. On arrival and departure reception empty..no internal access to room...no lifts..room was spa ocean view..3rd floor...three flights external stairs covered in possum poo..dirty slippery...room key hard to open door..needed two hand..old decor...flakey painted patio...building cracking bits falling off..room basic basic bssic...old analoguei tv...no internet access without asking and another trip to unmanned reception...a very tired decrepid place... busting laminated door..spa bath dirty and pipes full of gunk..ech!...not even two stars...definiely not worth 100 a night let alone the $180 rip-off...stay at home..pitch a tent but definietly DO NOT STAY HERE!

Over priced run down, hell hole!!!
Stayed Saturday 23rd march Worst night I've ever had in a motel, $230 for an out dated smelly unclean room, when we arrived door to balcony was wide open fly screen and all obviously trying to air out the room, room was full of leaves because the door was open, shower was full of mould.Old style box tv that only picked up 2 channels, the whole room should of been updated 15 yrs ago.Signs in room stating not to use spa after 10pm and any noise will result in bring asked to leave NO WARNINGsAfter returning from dinner had quick spa before the 10pm deadline, Then climbed into the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, 2 singles pushed together with gap in the middle!!!Finally get to sleep and the noise starts,, When the hotel next door closes its full on in the street till around 1.30am can't escape the noise,Same at around 3 am when The Hotel closes this time even worse,Them there's all the noise from rooms above that party till 4.30am (so much for strict noise policy)Got to sleep around 6 am and up at 9 to get out of the joint as quick as possibleHave stayed at many places on the island and much better value for money in Cowes

Wonderful Location
I stayed with my 2 boys in January 2013, The staff where so lovely and helpful even when communicating with them via email, I have a son who is gluten free, and nothing was too much bother regarding buffet breakfast for him, there was everything you could ask for, and as a mum very very satisfied with the huge choice. Lovely and accommodating Yes rooms are outdated, and there where minor things sliding door screen latch was broken, and minor scrapes in the bath etc. Rooms where serviced daily, the views where just lovely with the sound of the water creating a divine experience, there was NO neighbour noises from other rooms, very quiet, some passers by where a little on the noisy side, but not as others have stated. Perfectly close to the beach, just across the road, air-con was a god-send and worked very well.. I will not hesitate to go back, and recommend to others.

Have low expectations to avoid disappointment
If you have inadvertently booked this hotel and later discovered the low rating, do not fear. It is not as bad as it seems. My group stayed in a room large enough for 4 travelers and the rooms located on the 3rd floor offer nice views of the beach and sea. The beds were comfortable and bathroom adequate though small. The location is walking distance to shops and food and there is a bar at the hotel for drinks and food if you don't wish to venture (though you are definitely going to want to). The staff are friendly and helped us with our bags up the 3 flights of stairs. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it but if you booked it by accident or desperation, its an alright stay for a night.

Dated, basic & not an executive suite!
The only word I can use to describe our recent stay is disappointed! Expecting a nice luxury executive suite we turned up to a basic & dated room! Only good thing about this place is the sea view (if you have it). Breakfast very basic too. When checking out we weren't even asked how our stay was. I won't be staying here again if I can help it!
