A home away from home
The exterior is great, beautiful plantings and paint/d¿¿cor. Inside is quite comfortable, but TV posed a challenge and the cooking/self service a bit limited. Great for a short stay and a very convenient location.

clean and cheap
i stayed at this motel for 4 nights with 3 friends. It was very easy to find as it on one of the main streets. Spacious rooms and clean. There is an Indian restaurant attached to the parking area and a small swimming pool but we never got to use it as there is a big lagoon in the city itself.

Worst accommodation I've seen for the price paid.
My partner and I booked last minute as Valentines get away. We didn't realise that this motel was self rated as a 4, our mistake. It should have been a 2 or 1. There was blood on the wall near the bed. The tiles in the spa were really yucky. The room had a horrible strong smoking smell as did reception. On our itinerary it said there was a desk which my partner needed to use for laptop work and there wasn't. The photos must have been taken a long time ago as the pool was run down and the bar area looked like it hadn't been open for a long time. There was a couch that directly faced the kitchen wall about 2 foot away and the balcony looked over noisy road. When I told the lady in reception very politely that this is not what we paid for she said too bad basicaly because we had signed the check in form. We lost our money however had a much better stay in another 4 star rated hotel for the same price.

Don't believe all you read...
Stayed here with 2 friends from 22/03/13 for 5 nights, and found the Aspect Central to be very clean, quite modern and staff friendly enough.We stayed in a standard room, after reading the reviews we expected the worst; but pleasantly surprised about the overall quality of the room; with maid service every other day and clean towels etc included.We arrived late on the evening, but the guy who opened reception up again for us on arrival didn't complain and made us feel welcome.Only criticism could be the Internet charges are nothing short of extortion. $39 for 3 days wifi is a joke, even in oz. but if this is the only criticism, the hotel are doing well. There is a bottleshop and a pizza delivery over the road, as well as a decent Indian restaurant within the aspect complex.

Great value for money
We stayed at this place for 2 nights at the end of a trip from Townsvile to Cairns and this was by far the best hotel of the trip, even though it was the cheapest! The lady at reception was lovely, our room was very comfortable and clean, they have a great indian restaurant right next door... the list goes on. It is a little further away than other hotels from the Esplanade, the lagoon and restaurants, but no more than a 10 min walk.Highly recommended!
