Very attractive historical venue.
Loved my stay here to attend a wedding at Roberts restaurant next door. My only complaints would be I was cold on the second night and there was no spare blanket in the room plus the walls are fairly thin if there is some guest noise... Fortunately the noise was short lived on our stay. Loved the breakfast!

Great Weekend away on the homestead
Spent a wonderful weekend in the Hunter with friends staying in the homestead. While the house was great, we thought the remainder of the hotel could do with a bit of a face lift. Food from Chez pok was fantastic & having it served in the homestead made for a wonderful evening. Devonshire tea served on the verandah on a sunny afternoon was icing on the cake.

Nice Place to chill in Hunter Valley
Visited the guest house and was offered a newly furnished room with breakfast. It was nice and relaxing stay over in the Hunter. Loved the service by the people over at Peppers. Truly an experience. Keep up the good work.

Tired, Worn but Still a Nice Location
We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the years and have always enjoyed the setting and the house. On our last stay , this week the tiredness of everything was highly evident. Worn, stained carpets, scratched paintwork older style decor. We were told the place is set for a "minor refurbishment", so hopefully she will be back to her old glory after completion.The rate was good and the breakfast, which was included, excellent.

Beautiful, quiet Hunter Valley base
My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights during a trip to explore the Hunter Valley, room only option. The location was ideal, being in the centre of the region meaning nowhere was far to travel. The guesthouse is very pretty and rustic looking with veranda¿¿¿s, ivy and fairy lights. The accommodation is modern and comfortable and the spacious set up means you feel as if you have the place to yourself. At $240 a night we found the price reasonable for our surroundings and comfort. The hotel is very peaceful and relaxed, a great place to spend time with your other half.We didn¿¿¿t eat at the hotel, but I highly recommend Emerson¿¿¿s for dinner (treat yourself and go for the degustation menu - divine) and Petersons for Champagne breakfast. Esca is an ideal spot for a beautiful lunch with a gorgeous view.Make sure you visit Mount View and Scarborough wineries for great tastings.Will definitely be coming back and staying here once the cellar is empty of the gorgeous wine purchased!
