Had an excellent stay
Stayed here a week for business trip. The staff here cannot do enough to help you and they are all really happy to do it. This is a really handy location if you're working over in Cyberjaya. The hotel offer a free shuttle service to and from Cyberjaya - twice daily in the morning then a single return in the afternoon. They also do free shuttles to the local shopping mall and to KLCC. I liked the hotel, the staff and the rooms and facilities. They have a lovely infinity pool with a great view over to the pink mosque, the Presidential palace and the lake. We had the place to ourselves at the weekend and the best sunshine was to be had in the morning. The rooms were big enough and the bed was really comfy. Choice of pillows too from firm through to soft. Good shower and free toiletries too. The room was clean and the room-service trolley rolls round every evening about 7.30 to offer you more free bottles of water, apples, towels etc. Every room has a desk, a big wardrobe, a minibar and tea/coffee facilities. You can store your own things in the minibar like all the free bottles of water. I used the laundry service which was reasonably priced for a hotel and super quick. I left laundry out at 1.45 and they had it back to me by 5.00!The breakfast choice covered everything including continental style cold options, cooked breakfast, Malay breakfast (rice dishes), fresh fruit and juices and you can even get a bespoke omelette made in a jiffy. Try the scones, they are still warm and lovely.I had a problem with my first room and the hotel moved me immediately with no fuss and lots of apologies. The staff really do work hard to ensure you have a pleasant stay and nothing is too much trouble.I really enjoyed my stay here in this peaceful hotel and would definitely stay here again next time I'm over for work.

Adequate but austere - not a Shangri-la experience
Hotel is ok - a bit remote so you'll need transport or taxi. Facilities are reasonable although lacking a few in room amenities for travellers and TV is limited. Gym is poor based on old treadmill machines. Food is reasonable. Staff are friendly enough. Ambiance has a feeling of austerity and ageing. Due to the apparent lack of investment one can't help but wonder if this hotel is in Shangri-la's long-term plans... OK for a short stay but certainly not a good location for a business traveller unless you are attending an onsite meeting.

Best service I ever received/Top hotel
Picturesque, scenic and marvelous personalized service in this hotel and I easily rate as the world's best hotel. Nice and large very comfortable luxurious rooms and good swimming pool with excellent breakfast.The hotel aloofness as its located distantly from main town of Putra Jaya and its quietness add the value for those who prefer calm places to stay. It is located on the hill with a lot trees around which provides perfect view from your room. It's a perfect hotel for those newly wed couples for their honey moon and who wish to spend time together without much trouble from others. Soon after staying in Shangrila Hotel in Putra Jaya for about 30 days with my team, I visited Dubai and the worst hotel experience I got there. Malaysians are remarkable establishing their hospitality reputation and with warm and generous service.

aging hotel with little to offer today, just average
a pretty boring hotel with little to offer, lets start with the best thing about shangri la putrajaya, quiet and not a busy or over crowded hotel, the abundance of trees and greenery is top notch, sit down relax and read a book would be great, not so much for family. however, food is horrible, one of the worst buffet around town and its not cheap. malaysian cuisine ruined by the cooks here, tourist please go out and try proper malaysian food, definitely not in this hotel. best avoid, breakfast, its the same, just as bad, reach at 9am, nothing left, once again, go out and eat proper msian food, if you want a cup of coffee and some bun, its ok, or else, best avoid. Room, aging, no flat screen hd tv, some part of the floor kina rotted, the rest pretty ok but compared to the contemporary ones, lacking in many ways, need some renovation to keep up. don't expect any welcome drinks when you arrive...nope, nothing. honestly, just average, shangri la kl definitely serve better food than putrajaya
