Great Location and incredibly friendly informative hosts

Received a very friendly genuine welcome and lots of advice on the Grampians. Room was lovely and spacious. Views from back were great and saw Kangaroos and other beautiful wildlife. Cooked breakfast was not so good as seemed had been cooked and then left under cover which had made it steamed.

Great Location

WE stayed here in January just after Halls Gap had suffered serious flooding and for this reason things were not as they might have been.The water in the bathroom had been deemed unsafe to drink and wifi which I think was normally available was not due to the weather. We used the computer in reception to check emails but had to pay for it. This is a great location for exploring the Grampians but at the time of our visit most of the roads were closed and we saw very little. The hotel, now a Comfort Inn had few guests and the restaurant was closed although we managed to get dinner in the village. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable but the furnishings in general in need of an update. We had a very good full english breakfast and enjoyed watching numerous kangaroos just outside the restaurant. There is a small swimming pool but it wasn't very inviting, right next to the car park. We wish them and all in Halls Gap well in getting back to normal after the floods.

Nice Motel

Comfortable room, although we had to change rooms as air con not working in original room.Due to recent floods and landslides in area hotel was nearly empty, and restuarant closed, which was a disappointment.

In dire need of refurbishment

Brand new bed, but everything else was out of the ark. We stayed in a spa room but did not use the spa due to it's grubby appearance. The shower was excellent but the tiles around it were cracked and needed replacing along with the dingy grouting. Very off putting. Location is great as a centre for exploration. Breakfast whilst not being of the highest calibre was very good on quantity. Lots of deer, kangaroos and bird life in the adjacent fields. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was very difficult to find the hotel as it has changed it's name to the Comfort Inn. (Despite the welcome mat still having the old name on it!) We would recommend this hotel after a full refurbishment.

WONDERFUL AND RELAXING

We have just returned from our trip to the grampians. Our motel stay was very enjoyable. New beds and mattresses. Great shower. Friendly staff . Best breakfast and great variety Wonderful scenery in a quiet location. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
