recently stayed 2 nights at this property. It was my first stay here, I normally book other BW properties but I took a shot at this one due to the location at the beach. That happens to be the hotel's only strong point being at the beach and in a good location to use the metrobus to get around. Now for the many lesser points; I did not see any decent recognition for elite status and I am a Platinum elite BW member, so you elite members keep that in mind. The room was a king bed suite and although it is spacious, this hotel is quite dated and looks like it was a converted old apartment building and needs some serious upgrading. My floor was uneven in places with lumps under the commercial grade carpeting. The bathroom is tiny and the toilet sits between the vanity and entry wall with no room to sit comfortably as the toilet paper roll will be jabbing your right let, I had to remove it for the stay. Breakfast was decent, nothing extraordinary and good luck finding a seat in peak breakfast hour. The staff are very friendly. This trip I travelled solo but to be honest I would stay at another property next time when I bring my wife. We both enjoy the NorthBay Village property or try further South in South Beach at the Atlantic. The owners of this property need to pull their wallets out and improve/update this location.

I'm a best western rewards member and this is by far the worst I've stayed at. Keep going there are other places in town that are nicer and less money. Place is seriously dated. Pool was broken. Only one ice machine

Hotel need serious work good location and nice staff but everything else is awful. Looks like it has not been changed since 1950. Rooms are old,no counter space in bathroom,tiles cracked,faucet leaks,stove old as the hills,dont know what is under the carpet but you can feel lumps Nd bumps like they tried to cover something up, little bugs running across kitchen table,asked for extra blanket and they brought one that I would t even use for my dog, sheets dont even cover the mattress. Outside tiles are cracked everywhere with numerous patch jobs. Poll is uninviting at bes Nd stuck betwee two buildings. Breakfast was basic but the same everyday. Look for somewhere else!

Very reasonably priced hotel.Good, large rooms (I stayed in a 1 BR Suite) and situated right on the beach. Located in a small community with some good restaurants nearby. The area it self felt very safe. Staff was very friendly. The one set-back was the breakfast that was very bad.

The Best Western Oceanfront Resort in the Surfside/Bal Harbor area of Miami Beach is situated ON the beach. It is not fancy but it is clean, reasonable priced and centrally located in the tiny Surfside community with surprisingly good restaurants and great shopping and it is easy to get to by bus or car to almost anywhere in South Florida area. You get a glimpse of an Miami Beach before all the glitz.
