I stayed for one night the reception staff in the evening that I booked in were very friendly and helpful. Once away from reception the route to my room was very tired and well worn (sticky tape carpet repairs). My room was of a good size but in need of decoration and a new matress. The bathroom was functional but needed something doing with the mould around the bath. So onto the evening meal, the restaurant is clean and smart and the staff smiling and friendly. The food choice is limited mainly to greek food but the young lady serving was keen to explain it all. Food is of good quality and can be recomended. Breakfast is not so good no tables laid out just help yourself to knives forks etc. In 2013 it's hard to believe that a hotel offers watered down orange squash at breakfast ? choice of cerials and fry up ok. Breakfast staff never made eye contact or smiled and gave off "I dont want to be here" vibes.Would I recomend it ? yes its ok for somewhere to base yourself in the very expensive city of London. Just remember it is a budget hotel and it needs some work. PS....The kettle in my room had a portable appliance test label on it that ran out in January 2009?

If you are not fussy about decor, and a clean good size room with a comfortable bed, a clean ensuite and good surroundings is what you are looking for in an expensive city like London, it is hard to beat the Comfort Finchley room rates and its convenient location. A reasonable buffet breakfast is included in the stay, and the restaurant and front desk staff is most friendly and helpful. The bus stop for bus route 263 to East Finchley tube station is almost at the door steps. And if you love walking, a 15-20 minutes roadside walk will take you to the tube station where you can purchase a full day pass for travel on busses and tube. I thoroughly enjoyed my four nights stay here, and I certainly shall be back opportunity permitting.

Good room, clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was great, good choice and in nice surroundings. They all do evening food in the restaurant which was very nice. Mostly Greek food, good choice of wine. Well located for London base .

We stayed for one night and thought it was very good value for money and in a convenient location for accessing central London. Yes it is a little tired but for ¿¿78 for a room and breakfast we hardly expected the Ritz and were actually pleasantly surprised. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was perfectly acceptable for us as we are not afficionados of the great 'Full English'. A little more variety in the bread department wouldn't come amiss but it was fine for us.It was great to be able to drive to London, park the car at the hotel and travel by tube into central London.A twenty minute walk along the main road takes you to East Finchley Tube. Staff were very friendly and helpful, I would certainly use this hotel again.

I concur with other reviews that the Comfort Hotel is beginning to look a "little tired" having stayed there over the past 8 years but it does offer great value for money accommodation in London. We had to swap rooms due to a faulty bathroom fan and this was done without delay when requested. Also agree with other comments on TripAdvisor that the breakfast was below standard.I must admit that the Hotel & Bar Staff were so helpful and friendly and we had a big family gathering and they accommodated us so well no matter how many more guests that arrived. It is ideally located just off The North Circular Road and the other eating facilities in the Great North Leisure Park. Particularly recommend Ask Italian.With a little attention to the re-decoration of the rooms/bathrooms and an improvement in the breakfast it would have gained a 4/5 assessment for me. Staff were 5/5!I
