Location
Stayed here for the Vivid festival, great to be close to the Rocks. We arrived at 3pm and would of expected our room to be ready unfortunately and the only complaint I had was that it wasn't. The rooms are nice but not overly large and unfortunately we did not have a view of the Harbour but it didn't matter. Breakfast was good and after reading others reviews ensured we got down there early and had it to ourselves. The only thing I found odd was the toilets and thought I was on a plane and they are not exactly a quiet choice for a hotel.

Almost excellent rating
Spent a night over the June long weekend at the hotel. Couldn't have asked for a better location to see Vivid. Following a glass of wine, olives and trio of dips outside on the pier, we walked along the foreshore towards the Quay as the lights came on. We returned to the hotel for a very nice dinner, with attentive and friendly service, and then after dinner walked along the waterfront to see the Hickson Rd end of Vivid. We were lucky to stay in a suite that was spacious with a huge bathroom and excellent toiletries. Breakfast was very good - lots of fruit, delicious pastries and everything for a "big breakfast". Having read some of the poor reviews, I was interested to see for myself. Our experience of it is that it's a very good 4 - 4.5 star hotel. It seems at times that hotel guests adopt an unrealistic and unreasonable attitude. I overheard a guest complaining about the breakfast "not being very good" and watched people behaving incredibly condescendingly to staff who were obviously busy and doing their best. It seems at times that good manners and civility are left at the door and replaced by a sense of entitlement.I look forward to a return visit.

A nice place to stay
My wife and I stayed here in April this year while spending a weekend in Sydney. On arrival, the staff were helpful, the valet taking care of our car as there is not really any street parking available. The reception staff were welcoming and explained where everything was located. The room was clean and more than adequate for our 2 night stay. While the rooms are simply appointed, it is what you would expect for what you pay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well each night. The bathroom was quite large and had a shower/bath. The location is one of the highlights. Situated almost under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it is a pleasant walk to the historical Rocks area, as well as to Circular Quay. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and were quite satisfied with the meal. While there is not a huge choice on the menu, there was a variety of items. Some of the dishes were a little expensive. The breakfast buffet was good. We were able to have our eggs cooked to order and the staff were very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. It's ideal for those who are looking to stay in a nice location but don't want to pay the $$$ of a 5 star hotel.

Love It Great Location
Great location, walk to the Rock check out the weekend market open during the day. Stroll down the opera house and botanical garden.Go to cruise bar for a drink and head down to Ocean Room at passenger terminal for dinner... Great place to stay for couple wanting to have a short break in Sydney.
