Stayed here for 1 night as a single traveller with a coach group in room 6 downstairs.Our group was very well received and looked after by the staff. The room was quite large with 3 beds, air conditioned and a large digital TV. Comfy bed and nice bathroom.We had choice of 3 main meals for dinner with sweets, all were excellent.No faults at all.

Good view - great food!
Rooms are nice, clean, tidy. Modern and has everything. The restaurant - Edwards is ah-may-zing! Had seafood platter for 2 - loved it! Huge feed. Very fresh! Right on waterfront here, and short stroll to anything local.

good night's sleep
we stayed one night in a queen room on the second level. The room was modern in most respects and we had a view of the harbour; quite stunning at dawn. We had dinner in the bistro and came back to watch football on a large flat screen TV. The bathroom has been refurbished and had a very good shower. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful.

A great overnight stay
We were a walk in of four adults. First person we met was Lorelle who looked after us very well. She was very bubbly and friendly and made us very welcome. She also booked us in for dinner at the Waterfront restaurant (onsite).Our room was very clean, tidy and well appointed. No road noise could be heard. Music from the bars could be heard only when the windows were open and did not prevent a great nights sleep. The bed was also very comfortable. The Waterfront Restaurant had a great menu at reasonable prices, staff were very friendly, helpful and the food very good. Breakfast was either from the menu or continental, we chose from the menu and again were not disappointed. A great stop over spot on our way to Melbourne - where we would stop again....

A good three nights...
Was in Portland for three nights for work and selected this hotel after reading about it in TA. Nice large room, comfy bed, room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was the usual continental style but there was also a menu to select from. There seemed to be a row of rooms at the front on street level but the main part of the hotel was a building on the other side of the pool area, which is where I stayed. Nice view over the harbour. I work in the disability sector so am probably more aware of this than most. If you have trouble negotiating steps, ask for a room on the middle level and you will have no issues. If in Portland again, this would be my first choice.
