Mediocre Convention Center Hotel
We needed a last minute hotel in the Pasadena area and chose the Sheraton because we are Preferred Members, the location is perfect and they had rooms available. We have stayed there several times before, the last time being a couple of years ago, and not much has changed. The rooms are generally small and not well laid-out. The closet is very small and very awkward to access, the bathroom sink is very poorly placed and there is virtually no counter space. The shower is good, but the soap and shampoo, while pleasant smelling, seems very drying and poorly made. The beds were lumpy and in need of replacement, and the carpeting in the public areas is very worn and stained. Each room has an small ugly reclinging chair, but, in our room, it was so close to one of the beds it couldn't be used. I don't think I have ever stayed in room there that had a pleasant view - the hotel is connected to the Convention Center, and that blocks one side of the hotel. The hotel is also extremely long, and we had a room at the very end, so getting to the elevators was quite a trek. The lounge and restaurant, while neither are very attractive, are both fine, and they have a good selection of drinks and food, which is generally very good. Another point about the public areas is that they employ strong ambient scents, and, while I think it changes throughout the day, in the afternoons there is often the strong smell of artificial sunflowers which can be overwhelming and slightly nauseating.Even though the hotel is only five or so levels, the elevators get very crowded and take quite a long time. One big issue is that they do not seem to have a service elevator, so, often times you have to share the elevator with the staff brining laundry to the laundry room that is in the parking garage, or with the staff transporting floor polishers. Not only is there little room for guests when the staff have to use the elevators, but it really slows down the loading/unloading for the passengers due to the lack of space. The staff are all pleasant, but, for some reason, someone tried to deiver something to our room which we did not request (once a baby crib, the 2nd time, at 7:00 am, a toothbrush).The location is great, though, and it is easy to leave your car behind and walk around Pasadena. The garage parking is an additional $18 per day.Overall, I am very motivated to try another Pasadena hotel next time we stay there.

Close Drive to Occidental College & Walk to Restaurants!
Perfect location for us with our son in activities @Oxy. He would join us for dinner although there's a free hotel shuttle we preferred to walk off the calories instead! Many great restaurants in the area the front desk has a 2 page list to check off we liked all that we tried! AJ's Brewery, McCormick's, Mi Piace, Pita Jungle for lunch were some of our favorites. Sheraton's Room Service was Great for a lazy night dinner in the room, too!!

A little dated
Hotel itself is a little dated. I've stayed in other Pasadena hotels before and this one just seems out of place for Old Town. Staff was very friendly and room was big. Wifi didn't work. Overall, I think for the amount I paid I'd stay over in the Westin next time.

Nice Hotel in a Great Location
The Sheraton in Pasadena was a nice hotel located near Old Town. There is a decent restaurant in the hotel though it would be pricey for a family it was fine for the 2 of us. Room service was pretty good. It was a short walk to a grocery store and many popular restaurants.

I'm too spoiled for this hotel
I've been ruined by luxury hotels. This Sheraton was perfectly fine. Clean, if a little musty smelling. Club lounge FULL of kids. Pool straight out of the 70's. Located adjacent to the Convention Center. First floor rooms have a funky layout, requiring going up 5 stairs (in the room) to access the bathroom- bad for those of us who get up in the middle of the night. Did I mention the giant crowd of airline employees checking in every day?It was close to Old Town Pasadena and easy to get to local sights like the Huntington. It just was not for me. Next trip, I am going back to the Westin. Same hotel family, but hugely different vibe.
