Worked out perfectly
We chose this hotel because I knew about the good breakfast and the Monday to Thursday complementary dinners (with free beer and wine). I also was able to get 7 days with my points that would have only been 3 down town. The shuttle to and from the airport follows a scheduled so get a copy from the front desk. We had no problem getting in and out of the city on the Bart from SFO (It will cost you $16.50 round trip on the Bart, but you will spend a lot more then that on taxi's and parking). This Homewood is a little different then others I have stayed at, the suite layout was smaller and no king beds but you still have the kitchen etc. The breakfast was excellent and well used by everyone staying there so its busy but the staff will make sure you get what you need (they constantly re-stock it) Dinners if your there through the week are also good and I noticed they even let it run a little later so if you show up at 7:00 you will still be able to get some food (Beer was bottles not draft like others) In all fairness it is a little remote so there is not much around in the way of restaurants or grocery stores. We ordered in one night and although it took an hour to be delivered the food was good and very reasonable. I will defiantly consider staying here again and would recommend it to others.

Expectations: Met. A pleasurable experience.
We had a very nice 1 night stay here. The hotel felt tucked away in a quiet location (airplanes passing now and then... no big deal). The room was very clean, they put a nice crib in the room for us before we got there which was awesome. All of the staff members I ran into were pleasant and friendly, several of which asked me how everything was. The housekeepers I ran into were just as friendly if not moreso than the front desk surprisingly. We were certainly comfortable after we got to our room. Everything was convenient, we didn't eat the breakfast or use the pool or the full kitchen but it was all ready to go and sparkly clean. I would stay again for sure though and take full advantage next time. A side note for the hotel - Step up your HHonors game front desk, some of your choosy Diamond members might get the better of you... As for me, I will give a 10 10 10 on my email survey if I get one :-)

Love the People
The room is very clean, very comfortable. Front Desk (Grace, Fred, Rose and Odetta), the General Manager (Jonathan Powers) Food and Beverage, Housekeeping (Roger) and all other employees have made me feel at home. I've been all over the world because I am a costume designer for Michael Jackson, LaToya Jackson, Eva Longoria, Carmen Electra, Paulina Rubio and Nikki Minaj and for me it is very important for me to stay somewhere that makes me feel like I am at my own home. Decent park and fly option
Shuttle was prompt, room was clean, though carpets looked pretty stained. Thin walls, at one point we heard neighbor snoring! Many kids there, maybe because they're suites. Very crowded breakfast room, we ended up sharing table with others. May use this hotel again IF park and fly rate good.

Decent property - bring sound machine
The hotel is located across from the bay - great view and nice walks nearby. Breakfast ends at 9 am - seems a bit early.There is little or no sound dampening. The floors reflect sound, the walls are thin. You will hear the room above, the noise from the hallways, the bathroom above etc. Bring a white noise generator and you'll be fine. Without a sound machine it could be tricky. All of the negative reviews of this property have mentioned this as the biggest issue.There isn't much nearby within walking distance. The airport shuttle is "every 35 minutes" - which is very unhelpful when you are trying to plan. The desk folks don't seem to understand how little that helps. Both coming and going I had to ask when is the next one. I can gauge 35 minutes but I need a starting point. The airport pick up is tricky. This is for any hotel not just this one. If you are flying Delta you will arrive at terminal 1. You catch the shuttle on the DEPARTURE level - not the arrivals level. Look for door 5 and walk out to the island in the middle. The hotel shuttles have a very small space to pull in - they share that space. Thus, each shuttle stops for only a few seconds. If you are not there you will wait for the next shuttle. There are signs - but not too many of them - so look for door 5 and walk straight across to the island.
