Good location
The location and being within a walking distance to the metro station (Karama) are very good reasons to stay at this hotel . Very clean hotel, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Helpful and friendly staff. We recommend.Wi-fi is only free of charge in the reception/lobby area of the hotel. It should be either accessible in the bedrooms free of charge as well (like in the most of the hotels) or otherwise have a designated area/room in the lobby to avoid the reception/lobby area to be overcrowded with guests using the facility.

These are full size apartments with a full kitchen and separate bedroom and lounge area with en-suite bathroom. All compact but much larger than a normal hotel studio room.Free WIFI is in the reception area and worked OK. You can get internet in the room for a price.We paid $83 for a twin room and I feel that this is very good value. There are lots of good places to stay in Dubai and options are endless but you could do a lot worse than this place.A few strange but minor issues was that there was a washing machine in the kitchen area but no dryer and no washing power. There was also no washing up liquid, teatowels, or cleaning towels provided. However there was free tea/coffee facilities and a few basic cooking utensils.There was a flat screen TV in the bedroom and another in the lounge as well as a safe, iron and ironing board.

Good value hotel apartments in Bur Dubai
We really enjoyed out stay here.Room was spacious. Comfortable beds.English style 3 pin plug sockets in sensible places.Fridge was immaculately clean and worked really well. Microwave good too. We did not use cooker.Piping hot water 24 hours a day. Bathroom was not 100% clean but was still OKSwimming pool small but adequate for our needs. Reception area / lobby is a bit messy.Free WIFI in lobby, worked ok.Location was fine for us 10-15 minutes walk to Karama Metro, a little bit further to Burjaman.Free bus transfers 3 times a day to Jumeirah Open beach was a nice extra.Spinneys supermarkey 10-15 minutes walk away.Taxi to airport at 4.00am was only 30 AED (¿¿5.50) and we hailed one immediately on stepping out of the hotel.Would stay again when next in Dubai

A lovely posh hotel for an amazing price!
My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, on our way from London, UK to Sydney, Australia. We booked a studio apartment with twin beds and a small kitchenette.What we actually got was a huge 2 bedroom suite, with 3 bathrooms and a kitchen bigger than the one I have at home!We arranged a transfer via the hotel website, so had someone waiting for us at the airport. (60Dhs per room for the transfer - which is about 12 quid)We arrived at the hotel and were promptly checked in, although we weren't actually given a key, we had to ask for one the next morning... Weird but it wasn't a problem really!The room was lovely. Very clean, nice furniture, coffee and tea in the kitchen, plenty of toiletries in the 3 bathrooms (!) and very comfy beds.The pool was very nice - if a little small for the size of the hotel (having said that though, it was never full) - but it was on the roof, so had some lovely views. Walked past the gym (didn't go in) and the steam room (far too hot for a steam!) which were both nice.Thee's a supermarket just to the right when you exit the hotel, which is very convenient, and we were told there were plenty of restaurants just around the corner, but we didn't go to any of them. The nearest metro station is Al Karama, and if you can stand the heat, noise and dust, it's a short walk from the hotel. You can't really miss it - it's a giant golden shell!!I would definitely recommend this hotel - and I'd stay there again without hesitation.

Ticks all the boxes
Arrived early from UK (0900) - although check in clearly states 1400. Not an issue for the cheerful staff. Booked in straight away. (Pleasantly good start to the holiday). Stayed in a one bed roomed apartment. Basic but very very spacious. Excellent views from 3rd floor of down town dubai. Pool view in the evening is a photographers dream. Rooms clean and cleaned everyday with opticians to decline cleaning using outer door button system. Sockets are all three pin, so adapters not required. Remember to switch on Emersion heaters. Cold water showers - not nice. 2 x tv ( One in bedroom and Second in Lounge). Wired Internet in room / cable provided. But to use iPad you have go into reception foyer. Decent size kitchen with fridge freezer and washer/dryer plus basic utensils. I cooked 4 meals - Pasta dishes mainly. As there was a Large "Spinneys" Super market within walking distance. Everything you wanted for your stay you could buy. Decent size pool area, with very comfortable sunbeds and clean pool towels provided. Finally pool attendant was brilliant. Always cheerful.... Very attentive to his job. Area where apartments are, are very close to Port Rashid. Therefore ideal short stay for persons waiting for cruise ships. Only 10 mins taxi ride. Al Karama metro station is also 5 mins walk away with airport 15 mins away.Thank you Winchester - will definitely visit again and tell all our friends of the stay in Dubai.
