Really liked this place
Very little to not like about this place: big room and bathroom, huge comfortable bed, and fairly dependable WiFi. We did not get a lake view room, but I'm sure they're very impressive. Great value for what we paid.Only downside is location. This is in Frankton rather than Queenstown, which is about an 8 minute drive away. Also the area it's located in isn't very walkable to anything. That said, it's a small complaint as parking was never much of an issue in Queenstown (always found spaces near the botanical gardens). Would gladly stay here again.

Spacious, lovely rooms; helpful staff for suggestions for activities and restaurants; beautiful views and scenery of lake and grounds. We stayed 5 nights and truly had an amazing experince. I would definitely reccommend anyone coming to visit Queenstown staying at Mantra.

Sensational views, wonderful property!
We stayed at the Mantra Marina for a total of 5 nights over two different stays within a week.Our last stay of 2 nights was nothing short of MEMORABLE. We were upgraded to a Lake View apartment and I would strongly suggest that everyone who is contemplating staying here pay a little extra for this. They will not regret it.Mind you even our room without a view (3 night stay) was excellent.Greg, who manages the place was friendly, patient, accomodating and generous. We will be back here in a tizzy whenever we can.This place - Queenstown & the Mantra Marina - could give Lake Como a run for their money, it is so good. The apartments are modern, spotless, well-maintained and tastefully furnished.And the views? To die for (or kill for). Sorry about the morbid/violent language but you get my drift, I hope.The one caveat: you need a car. It is about 6 kms to the centre of Queenstown. There is absolutely no need to stay in Queenstown if you have a car as it is only a 5 minute drive into town.You have the best of both worlds - spectacular views and great accomodation just minutes away from Queenstown. Don't hesitate!

A highlight of our stay in Queenstown
We recently spent two nights at the Mantra Marina and whilst we had booked a one bedroom apartment, we were given a two bedroom when we checked in (but asked not to use the second bedroom and bathroom). This was fine with us. The size of our apartment amazed us and the outlook to Lake Wakatipu was a delight. We thought the check-in service lacked a little friendliness which came through again when we asked the next day for another small bottle of milk (which was not forthcoming). The kitchen was very well setup and would work well with either two couples or a family staying - it was so good, we ate in both nights (and apologise for setting off the smoke alarm!). All in all, a great experience and loved being just that little out of Queenstown and beside the walkway from Frankton to Queenstown - just stepped out the door for a scenic wander. Thanks!

Beautiful but not the centre of queenstown
There is no doubt that this is a stunning apartment. Really lovely and stunning views of the lake. But it is a fair way from the main centre of queenstown... 50 min walk, 8 min drive. If you are okay with that, go ahead. It is modern and luxurious. Pay the extra for a premium lake view though. Some of the rooms are close to the main road and would be noisy.
