Got what I paid for
I "slummed it" on my recent trip to Vegas/Henderson. Even with the lowered expectations, there were pros and cons.Pros:Price through Expedia was terrific.Breakfast bar was always well stocked, not too busy, clean. Scrambled eggs were passable, waffles were good, juice and coffee were good.Free WiFi!!!Large but spartan room.Friendly, helpful staff.Business center was functional and rarely in use.Sheets and towels were clean and changed every day.Cons:On two occasions I saw a bug flying in the room, not sure what it was. Also had one bug bite, but saw no evidence of bed bugs. On my return home I quarantined my suitcase in the garage until I could vacuum it out thoroughly, just in case.Not close to the airport or the strip, but easy access to the freeway meant getting there wasn't too difficult.Noisy neighbors a couple of nights... either they were the Loud Family, or not enough soundproofing.Never saw bacon at the breakfast bar. Not sure if I missed it or not. Only saw ham once, sausages twice. All in all, not too bad, if you don't expect too much. I'm not trying to slam it, as price was the top consideration and it delivered, but you're not getting something for nothing, either, so don't expect the Taj Mahal.
