I would always consider this in Tokyo
I have stayed here two years running, both times for periods of about 1 week. The rooms are a little small by Western standards, but spotlessly clean. The Ofuro on the 2nd floor is something that sets the hotel apart from the usual business class hotel, and is a great way to relax after a hard day in Tokyo. The Keiyo line is just outside and three stops later you are in Tokyo station. Good location by any means.I purchase my breakfast at As Leaf or similar in Tokyo station as the 1600 Yen a head for the hotel breakfast is too steep.Yes, I will return to this hotel.Friendly staff, perhaps in need of more English for travellers.Maihama is a few stops away therefore this place is great for Disneyland travellers.

Excellent Location for a trip to Tokyo Disneyland
It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, and provided us with all the necessary amenities. The hotel is within a few minutes from a nearby station, where we can take a train to Disneyland, which was only a few stops away. We stayed for a few nights in order to go to Tokyo's Disneyland and Disneysea, and we used the upstairs public bath whenever we came back to refresh - very comfortable and refreshing. Also, has a convenient store downstairs. As usual, the customer service was helpful.

Good location but too much noise
Stayed for a few days here in a double room. First thing we noticed was that interactions with staff were very formal and in some ways a bit cold (although still helpful). Second thing we noticed was that sleeping here is very difficult due to the noise from the hallway and surrounding rooms (we could hear our neighbours phone vibrating). Most of the residents here appeared to be blue collar types that get up at 5-6am, which of course meant we had to be up at that time as well due to the solid hour of constant noise. Getting out of bed this early in the morning was made even more difficult by having to clamber over bags and whatever other items we had dared bring into the room with us - our room was small compared to other tiny rooms we had stayed in. We couldn't even fully open the door as one of our two bags was pressed up against it. The cleaning staff were kind enough to show us we could empty drawers and turn them upside down as a sort of retrofit table extension, but this shouldn't even be necessary. The breakfast option is reasonable value and I would certainly rate it as edible, but given that there is a Lawson Station in the building you would be better off just going there for supplies.Location is good due to the nearby Shiomi station, which is only a few stops from Tokyo.Cannot recommend for anyone that is a light sleeper.

Couldn't sleep
I stayed in this hotel with two friends, I had one room they had the room next door. The walls were so thin and poorly built I could hear what they were saying in the next room. Good thing I knew them and could tell them to be quiet. Didn't work for the hallway people though or for the train and traffic noises from outside. The hotel was basically just poorly build for noise insulation. Otherwise the room was fine. The staff didn't speak much english nor were they terribly helpful. This hotel was cheap for tokyo and its clean and in a decent location but be aware if you are a light sleeper that it is noisy.

Clean, compact, close to transport, Chiba and Tokyo.
We stayed here because we were attending something in Makuhari Messe and all hotels in the immediate area were booked out and/or reeeaaally expensive. This place was a fairly short train trip away, and not too far from Tokyo station either. If you wanted to go to Disneyland, this would be a pretty good option. The hotel is clean and well-equipped. The room we booked was a small double room, and that's exactly what we got. We live in Tokyo and stay in hotels fairly frequently, this wasn't too bad, but I've stayed in larger for a similar cost. Can't complain though, the restaurant downstairs has a pretty good breakfast, probably not worth the cost though. McDonalds is close by, as are a couple of other restaurants and convenience stores. There's some pretty interesting radical right wing nationalist propaganda in the hotel rooms because the founder of APA is a serious right wing believer. It was interesting to flick through the collection of essays on the "real history" of Japan. If you're heartily offended by that kind of thing, you might want to choose another hotel, but if you're just after a place to stay for a night or two, this place is pretty good.
