OK hotel in an iffy location
We were accommodated in the Lotus for two nights as part of a cruise-and-stay package which, it has to be said, was excellent value for money; however, I should have inquired as to the hotel upgrade possibilities, because (and I know Athens well, so must take responsibility) the Lotus is in the unremarkable and uninteresting Metaxourgeio area, in which there isn't even a decent cafe or bar nearby.The room was clean and nice enough, but breakfast was not included and cost an extra 10 Euros for what turned out (we only took it on one of the mornings) to be a very limited buffet choice.I wouldn't stay here again, but if the rates are as good as other reviewers suggest, its proximity to the metro station might make it a good choice for others.

This place is a steal!
This hotel had a great staff and real clean establishment. It was right next to the metro station that has straight connections to where you want to go. Staff was really great and helped us with our trip to one of the islands. The breakfast was really delicious and had nice selection. The elevator is kind of slow but who cares about an elevator in Athens. The room was nice, had a nice bathroom that was fully tiled. We had plenty of space in the entire room. The internet did work, but when it wanted to. Sometimes it got real bad with the internet so that we could figure out our day but it worked well enough for us to do what we wanted to do. The beds were not comfortable but the pillows really were. I woke up tired everyday but I don't know if it was because of the firm beds or the super soft pillows. It was a great stay though, really cheap and I'm glad we made the choice to stay here. I wouldn't have changed my decision of where to go, I can't explain how cheap this place is for such great quality.

its great location. 5 minutes to the metro station. 15 minute walk to the entrance to the Acropolis. small but pleasant rooms. very polite and helpful staff. good breakfast. relatively quiet side street in the center of the city.

Convenient location close to metro
My wife and I stayed at The Lotusl for two nights prior to the start of a Black Sea cruise. The hotel was very clean, the staff very welcoming and very helpful. They couldn't do eniugh for us. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Only a few minutes from the metro. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Impressive hotel
Enjoyed a 3 night stay in this hotel. Reception staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Metro station 1 min walk away and close to all amenities. The breakfast is good and rooms very comfortable, modern and clean. For the price we paid, it couldn't be faulted. Very good value
