I only read reviews for the hotel a few days before our flight to Singapore and I was horrified with what I read online and was really hesitant about going given I have a one-year-old in tow. Commuting to the place via the MRT was easy enough (go down Farrer Park Station and it's just a minute's walk from Exit A). General accessibility was very good. It fronts the 24-hour Mustafa Center, which sells the cheapest chocolates. It is also close to City Square Mall and Sarangoon Plaza. The reception at the hotel could improve, but the guy who was there the next day was definitely better. The elevator was also tiny, but functional. Only one set of guests at a time. We were on the 8th floor. The room was very small and didn't have a lot of amenities. As one of the reviewers said, its not as bad as people mentioned especially if you only need a good night's sleep. The sheets were clean. The towels, not so white but usable. They had shampoo and soap, but no tissue. No remote for the TV...which was a big flat screen tv. It only got reception for around 8 local channels, 6 of which were Indian channels and one movie channel. The best part is the free wifi which was pretty fast. Breakfast was not really that good. They only had curry, boiled, chicken hotdog, rice and some sort of pudding. The funny part is, we got there a little before 10am (breakfast is from 7am to 10am). I got my food while my husband was settling the baby down.When he got up to get breakfast they removed all the food before he could get any. And he asked if he can still take a hotdog, and they just continued to remove everything. We just went out to get breakfast at McDonald's which was nearby. Little India has a certain charm about it, if you're the adventurous type. The hotel is reflective of the culture of the area...it has its good parts and bad ones. If you can strike a balance between the two, you'd have a better appreciation of this budget hotel.

We didn't expect the hotel was so stink of lamb like we were in lamb farm. And on the bedroom we found lots of hair and the blanket was stink looked like haven't washed. This is really we didn't expect in singapore which is so popular with its cleanliness. We don't recommend at all , better you pay the same on vallue hotel where we stay the day before.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location: very close to Mustapha, Farrer Park MRT station, and City Square Mall. The room was dusty. No room service -- although we've ordered few times! Noisy hallway. The guy who sat on the front desk was absolutely ignorant and unhelpful -- extremely terrible! But there was a girl staff who was quite helpful with borrowing us one of their irons for free! :)

Not as horrible as many people mentioned in previous reviews. I found this bearable to stay. It's not polished or shiny like a five star hotel (of course the you get what you pay), but it's clean enough to sleep. They change the sheets and clean the room everyday. I have a dust allergic myself and I have no problem staying in this hotel. The major advantages of this hotel is THE LOCATION. It's just a block away from Farrer Park MRT, Mustafa 24 hour shopping centre, and City Square Mall. For breakfast, it's not fancy but it's nice though. Have your breakfast early for some sausage or chicken nuggets, you'll get a vegetarian meal if you had your breakfast late, near ending hour :D

The first impression of the room was very messy, untidy, and smelled of cigarretes. Bed sheets were not cleaned and tangled. In addition, there are stains and hair from people who have stayed before. Before leaving hotel for a city tour, we had asked the front desk to clean and change bed linens, sadly when we returned there was no improvement at all. The bathroom's faucet was broken, luckily the shower still function properly. You are advised to bring your own towel and toiletries.The only advantages of the hotel are that they provide breakfast in the morning is quite varied, close to ferrer park MRT station and very close to mustafa center.
