This hotel was very good for our stay in Bangkok. It was very close to the BTS which made access to all the attractions easy and convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was superb, very clean and well appointed. We would use this hotel again definately.

We stayed at the GPR for 3 nights before heading to phuket. The hotel is a bit far out but there is a bts train 20 min walk from the hotel. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to the sky train. The only issue we found with this location was after the bts shut at 1am taxi's were reluctant to take us, but we found one for 130 baht from khao San rd. The hotel itself was really nice, staff extremely helpful. Nice roof top pool area. Room was clean and comfortable, nice big fridge. Shower was made for midgets, it didn't bother me but my boyfriend said it was uncomfortable and the temp kept going hot and cold (was fine or me).

The hotel is truly nice located in a more peaceful neighborhood, our two bedroom Studio was genuine pretty and stylish decorated with a vault, separated kitchenette also featured with microwave and regular size fridge :-)Our room was packed with a nice large plasma screen and MP3 player too! The front office staff was extremely friendly, helpful and very eager to please especially the male manager which was specialized in explaining the WiFi setup for my Blackberry Playbook..Our room was very clean and nicely furnished. In fact the whole building is truly CLEAN and WELL maintained as you can see from our pics of their shiny lobby, corridors and elevator hall. Breakfast served on the opposite of our Studio offered International selections. Good varieties breakfast items on their buffet and very tasty too. But the Asian breakfast selections was to us the most favorite one! Breakfast staff was also very helpful and again, eager to please you as their guests. Even so we were having our breakfast much later than their closing time, still the staff was offering and keeping the buffet available for us.The roof top pool on the opposite of our Studio building was a nice way to cool down after a day in humid Bangkok. The hotel staff including the room attendant gave you the feeling that you were genuinely welcomed, and being an honored guest - so different from the feeling and experiences we've had from other (big) hotels in Thailand.The hotel has a great location within a 13 minute walk to the BTS station. Many food options around including the hawker food center almost next left of the entrance!This is a great location to stay out of the crowded downtown area but still be connected easily to any destinations within greater Bangkok!We shall definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends visiting Bangkok. Definitely stay here again.. just wish it to be soon.Thank you for making our stay in BKK an memorable one to us.

Was staying at Golden Pearl for 5 nights at the beginning of January.Wifi and breakfast was very poor and the hotel is a little outside the city center of bangkok but well located to the BTS Skytrain stations Punnawhiti and Udom Suk. Takes you a 10min walk to get to one of the stations.Rooms were ok and clean and pool at the roof is also nice.What made me really disappointed is that some of my shirts returned with dots and poor quality from the laundry service (which is outsourced by the hotel) and Golden Pearl did not even think of compensation for that according to their "hotel policy". Hope you will not get in touch with this policy on other occasions...

We stayed for four nights during our Thailand visit and enjoy the hotel very much. Clean, large room, and very friendly and helpful staff. One particular Manager there assisted us with a travel issue we were having and his input saved us a great deal of grief. It is very close the the BTS station Udon Suk on Sukhumvit which makes getting around very easy. We found many many bars and restaurants within walking distances and many places to buy food and drink to bring back to the room. This is a good place to stay out of the downtown area but still be connected easily to any area.
