A true 5 Star Hotel..
My husband and I travelled to Vancouver last April 24-May 2' 2013. The whole experience of staying at Shangri-la Hotel was absolutely fantastic.. Great location, During the period, we went away to Whistler and Victoria for 2 nights and came back to Shangri-La and was upgraded to a larger room. Impeccable services, all the staff were friendly and helpful.. The Young Lady (unfortunately I didn't asked her name) at the Reception desk was exceptionally outstanding.. Large rooms, beautiful bathrooms,very clean and oh so comfortable bed and pillows... Fantastic in-room Nespro coffee machine.. My only note is about breakfast ; (breakfast was included in the room rate) The Market Restaurant delivers unique, tasty, and beautifully presented breakfast menu.., it was not buffet style, and so extra time was required to serve the menu... It was a bit difficult when we had to rush.. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family, and will be back next time. I didn't try the spa, but I'm very sure its as good as the rest of the facility..

FANTASTIC HOTEL
This hotel located in main center of downtown. Excellent location!! The staff was outstanding. Especially, concierge helpful and friendly. The little touches made me happy. The lobby was s great space. I LOVE THIS HOTEL. I highly recommend Shangri-la Hotel who visit vancouver.

Impeccable service and quality
We stayed at the Shangri-la Vancouver for a one night stay-cation and had a great experience. The service is second to none and the housekeeping, valet parking service, staff and breakfast at the Market Restaurant were all fabulous. The hotel manager even surprised us with a special touch by having a delicious cake and fruit bowl to acknowledge our anniversary. The only issue we had was that the bed and pillows were not comfortable at all (too soft) but our room was gorgeous and we were treated like royalty.

Best hotel service ever!
I travel a lot for business and also pleasure and have stayed at many high end and boutique hotels, although this was a first at a Shangri-La. Stayed for 5 days and each and every day the service was impeccable. All staff -from housekeeping to restaurant to spa services- were pleasant and attentive, promptly responding to any service requests. It was a pleasure to be recognized and called by name at all times.Truly the best service I have ever received at any hotel. Rooms were very comfortable; bathrooms were large and luxurious with beautiful marble shower and tub. I can hardly wait to return- this time with my partner for a romantic weekend or girlfriend for a spa day.

A Truly Spectacular Stay!
My wife surprised me one Sunday morning with a stay-cation at the Shangri-La, one of the hotels in Vancouver we have long talked about staying it. My every expectation of the hotel was met and indeed, exceeded by the incredibly friendly and hospitable staff. Our every need was attended to and often anticipated. One staff member that stood out specifically was Jeffrey. He checked us in for our stay, told us about our room and the many features it had, informed us where the restaurant and lounge were and what the best drink on the menu was. He told us immediately that the pool was closed for cleaning, which we greatly appreciated, as we do enjoy a good swim. But, that certainly did not put us off. Jeffrey also escorted us to the elevator and gave us exact directions to our room and sent us on our way. He also ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay before he left, as well.We were absolutely floored by the understated beauty of our room. And it was completely different than what I was expecting. But, let me just say that I was very pleasantly surprised. The king-sized bed is extraordinarily comfortable with such soft pillows and an equally soft comforter. The lighting options were wide-ranging, which we both appreciated. The mini-bar was nicely stocked and the coffee options were of great quality, which I personally always appreciate. So often the coffee in hotels, even 4 and 5 stars are questionable. I found the room to by very quiet, comfortable and of perfect size for the two of us. The bathroom, with it's large shower, marbled floors and amenities were absolutely fantastic.We first went to Market, the restaurant, sat on the patio for a few hours. We sipped on the Jeffrey's recommended ginger margarita. It was delicious. We ordered a pizza to go with our margaritas and it was delicious. The weather outside couldn't have been more perfect that day. A stellar afternoon.We came back after a trip up the high street and had dinner in our room. We need ice to chill wine, ice for our water, more water and a cable that we had forgotten at home - all of these needs were met by the very friendly and helpful concierge. And the service was incredibly quick, to boot.I have stayed in hotels all over the world: Beijing, Tokyo, London, Switzerland, Paris, Austria, Vancouver, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, etc...and few have lived up the level of service that we received at the Shangri-La. I am very excited for our next trip back. A truly spectacular stay.
