We stayed at Fragrance for 4 days with my family. The room were cleaned daily and the staffs were helpful too. Only 5 minutes to bus station and 10 minutes to Kallang MRT. We can get asian food easily too. If I go to S'pore next time, I'll stay in this hotel again.

For the price, its a very good option
Stayed here for 6 days and 5 nights with my wife and 2 relatively small kids. The family room for three was suprisingly more than enough for our needs. The beds accomodated us four pretty well.Rooms were cleaned daily. Area is safe (its at the "edge" of the red light district). So very few "red light" sceneries are there. Its a bit of an exercise to get to the MRT specially with two small kids. Best take a taxi or bus to get to the hotel from Kallang MRT station. Staff at the reception very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in did have a few bugs...only small ones though...they are active if food is in the room.Best eat your food outside or throw your leftovers outside. This keeps the bugs at bay.Overall, my experience has been very pleasant. I would stay here again with my family.

This hotel was very clean and had very helpful staff.The room was well serviced, with a nice en-suite bathroom.The hotel was quiet but in a Chinese area with no european food.It was only 10 minutes to the town centre

Not for long stay
Was nice of them to upgrade us to a better room without extra charge, but comes with twin beds when i put in my request for 1 bed type.When called the receptionist, the answer was online booking was thru 3rd party, they will not promised and fulfilled what was requested.Ultimately gave us a 1 Bed type of room, but was horrible, whole night you can hear flushing of water so frequent that you can hardly get a peaceful sleep.Will not go for this hotel anymore.

Good value for short stay in Singapore
Stayed at the Fragrance Emerald for one night recently.My room was a delux but quite small and facilities pretty basic, but fine if you only need a bed and a base for a night or two.The hotel is in Geylang district which is between the airport and city. Taxi cost just over 20SGD from the airport, not bad for a 20minute drive just after midnight. The MTR is around a 10minute walk and from there you can quickly get into the city centre.Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. There are a few working girls around the district and some massage parlour type of places but this isnt Bangkok, its perfectly fine to walk around without any hassle and there are lots of cheap places for food and drink.All in all a decent choice and very good value for money for a hotel in Singapore.
