An affordable hotel with a good location
An affordable hotel with a good location in Chinatown. The lady at the reception was almost rude (even in European standard...), but the boys were friendly enough. Although the corridors and lobby were shabby, the room was extremely clean. Well, the window was so filthy, you couldn't see through it, but it didn't matter, because the Manhattan Bridge was right behind the window. The traffic and subway noise didn't bother us though. It just gave a New York feeling and made you fall asleep better. However the walls were very thin and we had very noisy party-animal-neighbours for one night, which was very annoying. I have to say the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in a hotel. And there was an iron and an ironing board in the room, which was nice. So if you are not looking for a very classy hotel experience but a decent, clean and affordable hotel in a good location, this is your choice.

Good Stay.
Was my first time in New York stayed in February for 5 nights.Liked the location it¿¿¿s right in Chinatown so getting around is pretty easy. 5 minutes walk away is East Broadway Subway station. Plus Brookyln Bridge and the financial district/battery park are not far away too so was very good.The Manhattan bridge passes beside the hotel which has a subway line you can hear the trains passing but it really isn¿¿¿t as loud as others may have mentioned. It didn¿¿¿t bother me at all though I do live in London so used to noise. Hotel room was nice and clean bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful upon check in/out and for other info. Advantages of the area, location, nearby Chinese food is nice, The only negative is the area felt a bit dangerous at night when walking back from the Subway station. However we did not have any problems. Was very pleased with the value and overall a good hotel.

Clean and affordable by New York standards
Here is a hotel worth checking out. It is in the Lower East side in thriving Chinatown which used to be the Jewish quarter.Clean small and functional hotel. No frills. Reasonably polite and helpful staff. Close to the F train. Great area to walk in with easy access to interesting parts of NYC.

Brilliant Location and excellent sites surrounding
My boyfriend and I stayed here 17th-22nd April. The hotel was easy to find and was smack bang in the middle of China Town and to the left were views of the Woolworths building and the Ground Zero Tower. It is also in walking distance of the Brooklyn Bridge, Financial District and Staten Island ferry. Our room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. We were by the Manhattan bridge (it ran straight past our window) but the awesomeness of the view over looked the noise of it. The staff were brilliant- to the point when our card would not work when paying for the room they were so accommodating by allowing us to check in without the payment going through. They offered good tourist advice.As we only wanted the room to sleep in as we were out all day and the hotel provided exactly what we needed.
