Great stay- Great location
I stayed here for a week with a friend before hitting Oz. This hotel was fab. Staff were so friendly. The room was a standard hotel room but bigger than most other hotel rooms in HK. The two lifts in the hotel were fast so there was never a delay in getting up to our room. Hotel was very clean and I had no faults with the hotel at all. We paid around 400GBP between us both, which is extremley cheap for HK. The hotel is in the middle of Wanchai strip & Times Square, it is also close to all the public transport. Defo take a ride on the tram...Its defo a good experience. My sister is going to Hong Kong later this year and she is going to book into The Walden hotel with my advise.

good for short stay
The location is the best thing about this hotel.time square is about 10 mins by walk, MRT is close by and easy to get taxi for hotel doorstep.I suggest this hotel would be good enough if you plan to stay a short stay.The rooms are small as is most cases of hongkong hotels.The bathroom certainly needs renovation as the sink and the bath tub both chocked.

Hong Kong 5D/4N Vacation
The location of the hotel is ideal as it is close to Cafes, Restaruants (even Indian veg) and bus / MTR for airport and also local sight seeing. The rooms are clean and neat, but very small. It is ok if you plan to go sight seeing all day and just rest at night. The service is fine but major thing is no restaurant within the hotel. only rooms, 3 per floor and only one room with Double Cot.

There are better options
Hong Kong has some of the highest hotel rates in the world. If you visit during one of the large Expos during the year, prepare to be shocked. The Walden is, in my opinion, two stars. That is generous. The rooms are small. Internet is quite slow. Front desk is snippy and not helpful. Customer Service is a concept that has not reached the Walden. There are better choices in Wanchai.

I like firm mattresses, but if you don¿¿¿t, it could be a problem- If you are tall, the desk isn¿¿¿t too comfortable for sitting for long periods- Air conditioning controls hard to figure out at first.- Rooms are small
