Great hotel, will get good value for money here
spent a few days of our Japan trip here, was our first hotel we stayed in during our trip. we knew to expect smaller than "normal" room sizes in tokyo, so there wasn't any surprise here as the rooms are all on the smaller side. however, both the bedroom and bathroom provided enough room for two people to stay comfortably for 5 days. the room and hotel itself were impeccably clean and the room was very quiet. great bar on the second floor too! the lobby is very nice and the whole place has a nice warm feeling to it. the location is perfect if you are wanting to spend most time around shibuya / shinjuku / harajuku. its a very easy 5 minute walk from the Shinjuku JR station, and therefore ab easy voyage to / from Narita. would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel in convenient location
Hotel is well located within walking distance of Shinjuku station which the airport train stops at. The airport limousine bus also stops at the hotel which is a more door to door service for the same price. Pretty quiet in the rooms except for noise from floor above. Very comfy beds and Japanese pyjamas provided! Liked the use of refillable toiletries rather than the little bottles and tiny soaps. Hotel was nicely decorated and free WiFi in the guest lounge was handy but would have been nice to have had in the bedrooms. Breakfast was OK with Japanese and western options available. For the price there was not a lot of choice. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay. First time in Tokyo
Very convenient location in Tokyo just a short 5 minute walk from the JR rail station south exit. We had a queen bed on the 14th floor, so impressed with how quiet it was in the room when the door was closed. As others have said, the rooms are not large by western standards, but it served us well. A great jumping off spot to explore the city from. Passable English at the front desk was also helpful.

Very Satisfied with Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku
Excellent location! We took an approximately hour train ride from Narita airport to Shinjuku station. The hotel is a comfortable 5-7 minute walk, even with luggage. Take South exit at Shinjuku station, turn right, and cross the 1st main intersection to the other side. You're on track if you see the McDonald's at your right, and Family Mart to your left. Staff were very helpful and spoke English. I showed them my handwritten address of a restaurant we wanted to eat at and, much to my extreme delight, they provided us a map (which lists the restaurants around the area vis-a-vis hotel location) and turned out the resto I wanted to go to (Yasube - side note: this resto serves excellent tsukemen and ramen. Must try!) is a street away! Do ask for their maps. There is another one which shows how near other Shinjuku attractions are - Takashimaya and Shinjuku Gyoen Garden are both very near, 8 and 12 minute walk. Check the map or ask the staff how to get there by taking the short cut, and not thru walking the main road. We got two rooms, both of the same tiny size, but we expected it since it's Tokyo. We were in Tokyo only for a day but because of this great location, we were able to go to the above places, but Ginza and Shibuya Crossing. We're very happy we booked this hotel. Highly recommended!

Great value hotel at an excellent location
The rooms in this hotel have a decent size compared to other Tokyo hotels in the same price category. Rooms are very clean with generous toiletry kit. Only downside is they don't have in-room wifi access and some rooms don't have closets.Breakfast was just okay. Would have been better if they add more food choices. Location of this hotel is excellent. Just beside a metro station and 5 mins walk to Takashimaya where you can buy almost everything you need. There are many other restaurants and shops you can explore beside the hotel. I'll be back here definitely!
