Love staying at the Forum. The family owners are terrific and the rooms are top notch, Close to everything including beach and boardwalk. Fun around the pool after th beach in the late afternoon. There's a small game room for the kids and a quiet sundeck on the top floor.

Room for a Night
After reading Trip Advisor reviews for Cape May, NJ and Ocean City, NJ, I had decided to pick a Cape May hotel as my first choice for a one night stay in September. Sorry, all booked up. Okay, second choice, The Forum in O.C.The other O.C. hotels where I¿¿¿ve stayed in the past were the Port O Call and the Beach Club Hotel (many years ago). So I knew the Forum would not fall into that same category.I can¿¿¿t imagine staying here during the peak season. The parking would be next to impossible and there would be people everywhere. This off-season September night was peaceful.The location is a full block off the boardwalk plus one street to cross, so this is not an ocean view hotel. But, the location was not bad by any means. And just a half block walk to the Sindia restaurant.Okay, the room¿¿¿The living space was plenty big enough. There was a mini-refrigerator which brings new meaning the word mini. And I thought Courtyard by Marriott had small refrigerators. The king bed needed a new mattress. Don¿¿¿t sleep too close to the edge. The bathroom reminded me of a 1960¿¿¿s suburban house bathroom. Not very big but not cramped either. The tub water was hard to shut off all the way. There was a round table with two chairs next to the AC unit. Be warned if you need to turn the heat on. There is an unusual odor which may change your mind about needing heat. The room was clean but it might not be a bad idea to replace the carpeting. And even with all of the lights in the room turned on, maybe one more lamp would be a good idea.The room had two doors; one leading to the lobby via a hallway, and the other door facing the pool area. Anytime people walked by the pool door, the talking was very evident. Again, I can¿¿¿t imagine being here during the summer. It must be constant noise.I know I¿¿¿m sounding as though there are negative aspects about this stay. Actually, my overall impression was good. However, with so many hotel choices in Cape May County resort towns, I¿¿¿d be willing to try another location next time; whenever that would be.Check-in and check-out were easy and friendly. Staying on the ground floor was convenient. And the off-season room price was certainly a plus. But as predicted, this is not the Waldorf Astoria.

Great Location
For this type of property this place was excellent. The rooms are clean, good sized and they have a little mini-fridge and microwave in the unit. The staff is super friendly.This place is not the Ritz and does not advertise to be. If you are looking for a high end hotel this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean place in a great location for you and the family this hotel is perfect. You are one block off the ocean and boardwalk. There are two ice cream places within 1 block. Bike rental place is across the street and it is two blocks from downtown shopping.There is also a Superfresh right up the street which is open until 1am. We used that to grab snacks and drinks.It has a pool and a children's pool which was a plus for us. They also have an outside hose and shower to use once you are off the beach. There is a small restaurant open for breakfast and lunch attached to the hotel. The breakfast was very good, did not try it for lunch.

Loved our stay at the Forum Motor Inn
My daughter and I just stayed at the Forum Motor Inn last weekend for the United Methodist Youth Conference at St. Peter's Church. We had a wonderful stay. The room was clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The pool was immaculate. The onsite cafe has great breakfast food and is reasonably priced. We ate their both mornings. I can't say enough about their staff. They are so friendly and helpful. They speak to you every time that you walk by. They are very helpful and accomodating. They even found a disposable fork for my daughter after 9pm when the cafe was closed.We plan on staying at the Forum Motor Inn again next year. Keep up the great work!

Outstanding Customer Service
We stayed at the Forum Motor Inn this summer for the first time. The room was very clean and quiet, the beds were firm but comfortable, the location was great, and it was convenient having a good cafe on site. However, what was most incredible and outstanding was the service. They went above and beyond. We will be back next year.
