The location is super good in the middle of Hongqiao Development Zone.The restaurant looks good, but the dishea are so so.The room got a kichen and laundry machine, so it is really good for a long stay.The toilet got a washlet, too.I will definately stay here again on my business trip.

Good value for money
Very good value for your money and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. In particular if you want to order room service they go out of their way and assist you in preparing meals that are not on the menu. This can be of great value when you stay longer and want to eat other than what is on the room service menu.

in china, the software is always lacking
was designed for longer stays, but rusty balcony fences and musty shanghai weather made it less desirable. the front desk was well trained and very efficient...but still it's not the same as Sofitel...if only it was closer to Hongqiao. i wouldn't stay here again though.

Good place
I stayed at the Grand Mercure for 5 nights and found the hotel to be very comfortable. The staff, especially at the Front Desk were very helpful in as much as they would spend a lot of time telling me where to go and how to go, etc.The room I had was on the 7th floor, large enough, with a bar and a small kitchenette. The dressing area was nice and the bathroom too was adequate.Breakfast had a wide variety of foods - Chinese, Japanese and of course the regular eggs, cold cuts, cereal, etc.Relatively close to the hotel are 2 subway lines - 10 min walk to either station. I felt that taking the subway was the quickest and the most efficient way to get around town.I would recommend this hotel to all types of travellers - business travellers as also holiday makers.

Clean...Spacious..Good For Money
At the rate we booked our travel, I was really satisfied with the service..room cleanliness..and all. The hotel was a bit out of location and you wont find anything down at the streets at night. The room offers a small kitchenette with a washing machine and a microwave and all...Overall I would recommend this place for everyone...including family, couples and business people who want to stay in Hongqiao
