This was our first stop on our vacation. What a great location. Across the road from the beach and a great bike track/walkway. Only a few minutes drive from Hillary's wharf and a short walk from a great cafe - Voyages Kitchen, and a bottle shop. The 2 bedroom apartment was large and spacious. It was clean and very comfortable for our family of 4. The kids loved the pool and spa and having the BBQ area near the pool was definitely a plus. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for families.

A group of 6 of us had been talking about doing a trip for years and finally decided to go to Perth, We had many discussions about staying in the city or outside of Perth City and it was finally decided an ocean location would be nice and hence we found this place.After arriving into Perth on Wed Apr 17 we made our way to the hotel/motel in the early afternoon and were checked in by a very friendly woman (Unfortunately i forget her name but had a possible german accent) and given a 2 bedroom apartment being Apartment 123We were opposite reception on the first floor with no beach view. Our room was clean and had a great setup. There was a double bed in Bedroom One, In Bedroom two we had 2 Single Beds and the living room had a double sofa bed. This worked out perfectly as it was 2 couples and two of us were single. The resort had a plaque declaring it had opened in the late 90's. However the apartment looked a little older so im wondering if it was originally a block of units converted into motel/hotel units.We had a laundry with a washer/dryer. One thing we did find a little strange is we had 2 showers (One in the laundry) but only one toliet. We would have thought they'd convert the other shower into a bathroom as well. Certainly would make it easier with 6 people sharing!The bathroom itself was a little worn and possibly a little outdated, However it was clean and functional and the shower had good pressure. The bathroom had decent tolietries.We had a small kitchen with Stove/Oven and microwave.One day we came back to find housekeeping had entered and cleaned our bathrooms, Replaced supplies/towels etc but hadnt made our beds....We found that a little strange.Another day we had run out of supplies and ran across to reception. We dealt with "Conrad" he was a great guy, Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble!We utilised the pool/spa and sauna. The pool was VERY slippery on the base but a decent size and we got very accustomed to the Spa.The location was within a 15 min walk to Hilarys Boat harbour which had multiple restaurants/bars and entertainment. Very nice area. it also has a ferry terminal with departures for Rottnest Island, Word of advice....Hire your snorkel gear at Hilary's. I paid $15 including a $10 deposit i got back upon return whereas on the island itself they were charging $25!Directly across from the hotel is Il Pirata a pirate themed pizza restaurant (Decent pizzas) a BWS liquor store and a couple of other restaurants.As mentioned location is right opposite Sorrento beach which is a great place to swim. Towards the end our stay some friends of ours who had recently moved to Perth booked a room and were in Apartment 89, They had an ocean view and the room was a little different but overall had the same kind of set up.Conrad checked us out and again was very courteous. Accomodation is not flash but sufficient and would stay again if ever back in that area!

We stayed here for work as the hotel was much more reasonably priced than the hotels in the middle of town. Also, being out of town gave a good excuse for doing the morning exercise along the beach - very hard to take.We had a one bedroom suite, with a massive shower - I want to take that shower cubicle home with me. Breakfast in the morning was nothing flash, but was substantial and good value for money.Reception was friendly and responsive. I had an issue with my air conditioner on the first night and it had been fixed by midday after reporting the issue around 8am.

Lovely spacious apartment with spa bath and large kitchen area which contained everything we needed (although no washing machine or cooker). Very clean and furnishing was new and bright. Quite expensive for a room with no view! Pool area was lovely although the spa was out of order when we visited;-(

The resort has a range of room options from luxury spas to the three bedroom suiye we had. Our suite had a kitchen with regular oven & hotplates, good sized fridge and microwave. A round tale and chair along with a couple of lounge suites rounded out that half. The loung opened onto an internal balcony. Two bedrooms with QS beds and a third with 2 singles were basic in their appoinments but the beds were comfortable. A bathroom and laundry with full-size washer (no dryer) & a second shower in the laundry made early starts easier. There is a pool and spa on site, a laundry with dryers in the car park and a restaurant which is only open for breakfast. There is a liquor shop across the road and a pizzaria (be aware that pizza in Perth is an exercise in expense compared with the eastern states). The resort is over the road from the beach. This road carries a reasonable amount of trafiic in the morning and afternoon peaks but outside that its quiet. The resort is about 10-15 minutes stroll from Hillary's with a large range of takeaways (try the $16 half rack of spicy ribs!), cafes, restaurants and bars along with ATMs for CBA, Nab, ANZ, Westpac and Bendigo. The train station @ Warwick is about 10 minutes drive and there are a couple of local bus lines that pass nearby too. Whiteman Park is about 25-30 minutes drive away and the reosrt is around $55 by cab from the airport (traffic dependent).Handy location for anything in the north, such as Whiteman Park. The beach is nice and Hillary's is a great place for a bite to eat without the worry of driving home after a drink or threeRecommended if you was beach-side in the north and you have transport.
