Absolutely Stunning!
We stayed at this venue for a Hens Weekend, this property was so beautiful and could not be faulted what-so-ever. Everything that we required for our stay was available in the apartment, from a top quality frying pan for our pancakes to extra champagne glasses for our guests. This property was immaculately clean and perfectly located to catch a taxi to the local pub for a night out.The golf club is across the road (it's quiet and didn't realise it was there initially), with the most amazing restaurant and service. We will definitely be making this an annual event.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY WHILST ENJOYING THE VINEYARDS
As a Accor member I have stayed here on a few occasions and the upgrades they continue to do are great. It really gives you the feeling of being home and the appointment of the rooms are second to none. I stayed in a two bedroom this time and the fire in the lounge room was very warming indeed. The kitchen has all you require if you like to cook instead of heading out for diner every night. There is no restaurant on site but the nearby Golf Club has an excellent menu, a little bit pricey but your here for a nice time not a long time so look out over the greens and enjoy the ambience. There is a lockup garage under or next to your unit and the swimming pool is heated for those winter nights when you want to have a swim or just sit in the adjoining spa area. As a guest you have access to the Village Sports area which also has a pool and gym area.Wifi is complimentary and advised to use it as I found my data stick was a little slowLove coming back here every so often and the feeling about the place is unique, Kangaroos do frequent the area so be careful if driving around at night. If you are arriving late there is security boxes to get your keys and lets face it after that nightmare drive to get out of Sydney you will arrive late.

Nice spacious apartments, but heating issues need to be fixed ASAP
Dear Manager,We have just recently stayed at the ACCOR Property the Vintage, Hunter Valley. We have stayed there once before only for two nights, this time we stayed for 7 nights. We noticied since our last stay in January 2013 that the lounge area of the property had been renovated, it looks very nice. The Units themselves are lovely and very spacious. I want to say a big thank you to the staff as we arrived very early on the morning of check in and we were able to check in, which was fantastic and a big help with two small children. We had asked for a balcony apartment (upstairs), but were given a ground floor apartment, even though many around us were empty. No complaints though since we got to check in early. There are many things that would improve the whole stay greatly. It is meant to be a self contained apartment, but we found there is no broom, dust pan and broom, vaccum etc. We had to ask for a broom and a dust pan and broom as after 7 days you need it! There is no information what so ever about the property itself or surrounds. It seemed you are constantly ringing reception to ask simple questions, like what time is breakfast from etc. All this information should be in a booklet so that it is easily accessed. Also there is no instructions on how anything works, the fire, stove etc. and the switches are not labelled, so you don't know if you are turning on the air con etc. correctly. Also we very luckily avoided a flood, as the washing machine pipe is not plumbed in and the waste water goes directly into the laundry sink. We did not realise this and had the plug in the sink and it nearly over flowed. Why not fix this or at least have a sign warning you.My main complaint is that the heating/air conditioner does not work in the bedrooms. This is unacceptable. The air conditioner man came out to have a look and told me they have never worked and it is an ongoing problem with lots of complaints. He also mentioned that it doesn't help since the switches aren't labelled. I do not know why this couldn't be fixed when the renovations were done and frankly heating is needed in the very cold Autumn/winters. The lounge and dining area was nice and warm, but going to sleep was freezing. We asked if a portable heater could be found as my children got colds from their being no heating, but was told they didn't have any.On top of this our fire place stopped working after 1 night. The manager came out to have a look and we were told on the Sunday that the gas had run out and that they would be there on Monday to fill it up. It broke on the Saturday night. Monday came and went and we heard nothing. I telephoned and was told that they got held up and would definately come on the Tuesday. Tuesday came and went without a courtesy call and was then told after having to call them, that they got held up again and now they didnt think it was a gas issue, and that it would need to be looked at. Why say it was a gas issue then? No heating in the bedrooms and now no heating from the fireplace. I was never offered to move rooms or even offered an apology. I requested that we would have to move rooms as this simply was not good enough. A room was found close by, now on the second floor (surprisingly). It took nearly 3 hours to pack up and move, something you do not want to do on holidays and Management or staff did not offer any assistance. This was very disappointing. The fire worked in the new apartment, but the heating in the bedrooms did not.We also had a fire alarm go off. I understand this happens, but we did not know if we had to evacuate or not as no announcement is given or phone call to let us know what is going on. In the rush of the move we left one of my son's feeding bowls, we did ask housekeeping but no one got back to us whether it had been found or not.It would be nice to have a kids play area or swings, so that they had something to do, as besides the pool there is nothing to keep them entertained. The heating, aircon situatio

LUXURY IN THE VINES
Spent one night in a one bedroom apartment which had its own internally connected garage. Modern bathroom with rain shower in a huge recess with panoramic glass window to bedroom. The only fault was the inaccessablity of the blind controls (had to stand in bath tub to lower the blind for privacy). Modern well-maintained decor with all amenities. Great location in the midst of the vineyards and close to Bimbadgen for those going to concerts. Access to amenties of the Vintage Golf Club and located in a parkland setting with delightful rural views populated with many kangaroos. Heated pool in centre of complex and beach towels provided in room. There are no instructions for the operation of appliances, e.g. the gas fire, and agree with past contributors that the check-in location is unusual for Grand Mercure. As former locals we wouild highly recommend.

Very nice and convenient
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment over 4 nights and was a very good location and very nice apartment, some of the apartments probably have a better view than others but ours was quiet private and nice. The apartment was well equipped and had everything you needed to cater in the apartment. It had a nice gas fireplace which heated up the room which was good. Everything you need and enough room for two couples without walking over each other. Would stay there again if i was in the area.
