The Palm Tree court is the posh part of the Jebel Ali resort heading out of Dubai on way to Abu Dhabi ! There's no skyscrapers in view, which is lovely, although I could see that changing within the next 10years. The rooms in the Palm Tree are lovely and spacious, huge comfy bed, enormous bathroom with roll top bath and also full walk in shower. They are meticulously cleaned every day with evening turndown service. There are approx 10 blocks of rooms and suites in the Palm Tree spaced out over a large area with lovely gardens, water features and streams, and it never feels too busy. The highlight of the resort are the wonderful peacocks, which roam freely around the grounds and even visiting the outdoor bars. We chose the all inclusive package which is fantastic value, as it can be very expensive eating and drinking in Dubai. The quality of the food in all the restaurants and bars was comparable to that of some Michelin starred restaurants, the White Orchid was simply divine, as was the grill at The Captains Bar (best Black Angus beef I've ever tasted), and also the Italian restaurant and the sports bar at the Marina. The resort caters for families, so please be aware that there are lots of children but don't let that put you off if you are travelling as a couple because there are adults only evenings on various nights at different restaurants and if you want to be away from kids at the pools opt to upgrade to the Residence rooms which have access to a private adult only pool. Another tip is to have breakfast in the White Orchid as its much quieter.Now to the service - whilst there is no waiter service around the pools during the week (unlike many of the other hotels in Dubai) the staff in the bars and restaurants are of the quality we've become accustomed to in Dubai. I can't recommend Rajitha highly enough, he is amazing, nothing is too much trouble and he is always smiling - I do hope the management recognise this.Gloria was also very helpful. All in All this is a fantastic hotel.......... Well done !

My husband and myself stayed at the Palm Tree Court on the 19th April for8 days. On arrival our room was not ready but they found us a tempery room at the Jebel Ali as I was very tired after flying though the night. By 2 o clock we was given our room which was a ground floor Junior suite, which was beautiful very big.We was on a all inclusive package, but was not told that our first breakfast we had to pay for not that we minded just wish they had told us this. The food was very good at all of the restaurants. We went to White Orchid for breakfast the staff there was very friendly Joyce would always get me a cushon to sit on as i am not very tall. The Anchor Bar for lunch where Rajitha always found time to chat to ask how I was and if we was enying our holiday even when he was busy.Shooters and La traviata was also very good, All the drinks was good and the cocktails the best we have had anywhere. Swimming pools where also nice and we always found a lounger.The only thing I would say is YOU MUST TAKE SOME WET BOOTS not expensive one's that you can get from the UK As there is a Few sharp rocks and oyster shells in the sea and as they can be very sharp for young children to tread on Lucky I did take some and glad I did. Other wise the beach is lovely. The other disapointment was the Dubai creek boat trip and not as good as we had hoped for, and for us it was very noisy a lot of people talking and so we could not hear the entertainment, which was a shame. The gardens was so nice to walk though when you was going to breakfast or lunch, and the peacocks they often came to our room and eat out of my husbands hands we never found them a problem. We meet the General manager at the cocktail party who was very friendly and he told us if we was to come again and we needed anything to just let him know, The Palm Tree Court is one of the best hotels we have been too two years ago we went to The Atlantis which was very nice and last year the Hilton Ras Dubai but we would definitely come back next year.This is definitely a 5 star hotel if you have any question about The Palm Tree Court feel free to ask me

Spent a week at the Palm Tree Court which is part of the Jebel Ali resort in early May and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had an all inclusive package which you need as the hotel is a long way from anywhere and there is no opportunity to buy drinks of any kind from local shops. The package is pretty comprehensive and the only things that aren't included are the chef's special in the themed restaurants and drinks like champagne.The room that we booked was a beach junior suite and it was very spacious. The bed must have been at least 7 feet wide and was so comfortable, as were the pillows. Extra pillows were stored in the wardrobe (which had proper wooden hangers, not those awful ones you get where the "hook" stayts in the wardrobe and you lift off the hanging bit). Tea and coffee are in the room and complimentary water each day. A bottle of wine, fresh fruit and chocolates are provided at the start of the holiday. The room has a safe and a DVD player so you could bring your own to watch as the selection from the hotel to hire are a bit dated.The bathroom was huge with an enormous bath, separate shower and joy of joys - two sinks, so no need to share with my messy husband! Towels are very large and soft and changed daily. There are slippers and dressing gowns in the rooms too and these gowns are not the sort that you need to be a weight lifter to wear! They were thin towelling inside with a cotton layer outside, very comfortable.There is a hairdryer in the room but no iron. Possibly you could have one from reception but I didn't need one so didn't ask.As we had a ground floor room we had a patio area with table and chairs and two loungers. These were put out and towels provided daily. They were very comfortable too.Food was served in several restaurants during the day and you could use the Jebel Ali restaurants next door too. We mainly ate in the White Orchid during the day as the buffet area downstairs was generally frequented by families from the pool area. We also ate at the Italian restaurant, which we found to be the least good of all ( it was nice but I may have made the wrong choice). Shooters did a lovely staek and the meal that we had at the White Orchid during the night was the best Chinese ever. Buffets were never boring , as we have found in some hotels, and food was well prepared and served ( as evidenced by my weight gain of 3lbs in a week).The grounds of the hotel are superb with peacocks running wild and giving spectacular displays of plummage, although they can be noisy. Staff could not have been more helpful and really go out of their way to make your holiday successful.Taxis from the hotel are reasonable and if you get one to Al Battuta Mall you can use the Metro to get around which is so cheap, clean and efficient. A 24 hour pass cost us ¿¿6 for two people - incredible value and the trains run every 5 minutes. You have to take a taxi to get anywhere but make sure you use the city taxis with the sign on the top or you will get ripped off. Fares from the hotel to Battuta are about ¿¿8 each way.Everywhere on the resort is clean, even the beach is cleaned daily and raked. The unfinished road for the bankrupt Jebel Ali Palm is right in front of the hotel but regard it as a bit of modern architecture or a modern day Stonehenge and you soon forget about it.There is a spa but we didn't use it. The stean room etc cannot be used by men and women at the same time so we didn't bother. The only complaint was the gym - it wasn't anywhere near as good as my local council run gym and as there is only a low glass wall separating it from the area where children play badminton etcc, it can be very noisy. One afternoon children were playing football in the corridor leading to the gym and although there are signs saying children are not alllowed to use it, the gym is unsupervised and there were children in there. However, that was the only downside that we could see.All in all a great place to stay.

After staying at the Jebel Ali last year, and having a minor issue which was dealt with impeccably by the hotel manager personally and promptly post departure, we returned for a short stay this week at the Palm Tree Court on a stop over from Thailand, and we're thoroughly looked after. I have to say, having been coming to Dubai on holiday at least once a year for the last 12/13 years that we would really recommend the Palm Tree Court (we normally stay at Le Royal Meridien and twice at Jebel Ali). The rooms are fantastic - spacious, recently renovated and the ground floor ones particularly offer sun beds on the lawn outside your room, so were great for some chilled time close to the room. The staff are excellent - our favourite who far surpassed any other member was Rajitha who worked in Captains bar and the Anchor bar. He was friendly, attentative, and really took an interest in you - whilst making sure your needs were met even on a busy Friday/Saturday lunchtime. He deserves a reward as he really was your top performing staff member! I love that the hotel lets the staff write their own caption under their name badges after 6 months of service - we loved discussing their choices e.g. Their personal hobbies and interests. Great idea. During our quick stay, we ate in the evenings at the White Orchid and La Traviata - both great - wonderful food and superb service - on our last night we'd booked a week in advance for DiVAZ, but my husband got a migraine late afternoon on the day of our booking, and we sadly had to cancel (we ate here last year, and it was the highlight of our holiday :( one to make sure you book up).I have to say that I prefer my experience in the Palm Tree Court to the Jebel Ali; the room we booked in the Jebel Ali last year was quite small in comparison, and we loved our bigger room and ground floor area to chill out in in our Palm Tree Court room. It was so easy to walk to the restaurants and pool straight from the room, with no lifts etc. Also, you have the wonderful peacocks wandering in front of your rooms!This is a great hotel for relaxation, a great AI package and lovely rooms. Well done Palm Tree Court! We'll be back I'm sure - maybe even in late June when I'm coming back on a girls week away!The Mestons

I have been coming here for years but the standard has slipped. My sister booked us in for this weekend but it was a nightmare - the rooms were boiling hot, the staff had no idea what they were doing and kept getting things wrong and the food in the thai restaurant has nose dived - it really was awful. We left this morning and would not come back. It was so busy, the staff seemed to be running around like headless chickens and many could not speak a word of english. I have only stayed twice before but I know it was miles better than this the last time we were here. Next time I'm in Dubai, I'll be going to Royal Mirage.
