Good value for money
My husband and I always stay at this hotel for our Christian Bible study training. The hotel provided us with group discount and free breakfast for our group. The rooms and spacious and clean. The lobby is very nice and fancy. The free breakfast is enormous is proportion. It's location is also very convenient. It's across the street from Target and there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance. It is also a short drive away from Buena Park mall.I like eating at the Sizzlers nearby. You can save money by ordering a packaged combo that includes an entree and access to salad bar. These combos allow you to eat from the salad bar for just a few more dollars. The salad bar has plenty of food including meat and dessert. You can fill up on the salad bar and then take your entree to go for a later meal. This way you get two meals out of your purchase.You can also save money if you do not want to rent a fridge. Go to target and buy a styrofoam cooler for under $10, and use the free ice from the hotel.

Benny the Bell Captain Saves the Day!
5 of us stayed at Holiday Inn Buena Park for 7 nights (End April-Early May).On the 2nd day, we were supposed to be picked up by Gray Line tours for our trip to Universal Studios as well as a Hollywood tour. When our bus did not arrive, the front desk personnel helped to phone the company but I was told that the bus waited for 10 minutes and left. We were also told the only way for us to continue on the trip was to make our way down to their company via taxi. Benny the Bell Captain, saw that we were facing some difficulties and talked to the Gray Line tours representative on my behalf. In the end, he managed to reason with them and arranged a taxi for us, of which the taxi fare was bourne by Gray Line tours. All of this is all thanks to Benny's help! He was very alert and helpful in more ways than we can ever imagine! Whenever we approach him, he was more than willing to help us & go the extra mile to ensure the best for us. It is such star members like Benny that gives us the assurance to continue staying at Holiday Inn hotels. If I may add, he definitely deserves a pay rise or promotion of sorts! With this excellent service that he provides, I'm sure many more guests will stay at Holiday Inn!

Good location, great hotel.
Chose this hotel because of close proximity to knotts berry park and the free shuttle to Disney. Being a platinum member I received excellent treatment and free breakfast in the reserved area. The staff were all very friendly and professional as well as helpful. Room was good, clean and had everything we needed. We walked to knotts, about 20 mins but for Disney you do need to get transportation. The courtesy bus was fantastic and picked us up exactly on time. Tip, get your request for bus in as quick as you can because there are limited spaces and times. Pool area and hot tub really good after a long day walking round parks. Eat wise the hotel food was very good, but there are other options close by, burgers, steaks, Denny's. liquor store next door virtually. All in all a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.

Comfortable, friendly hotel
Stayed four nights with husband and nine year old son. Hotel had good amount of parking, The lobby and reception area was nice. We arrived earlier than we expected, but this was no problem and a room was produced straight away. Room clean with two queen beds, bathroom on the small side, not much counter space, I think you would struggle with bathing babies and small children in there. Good hot showers though. The pool area was nice with sunbeds. We ate in the restaurant which was fine, nice friendly waitress. The lady in the gift shop was very friendly and chatty and good with children. Enjoyed the stay here despite the noise from the busy road which runs past the front of the hotel.

Mouse in the room!
The biggest issue we had was a mouse in our room! The manager came right away and had maintenance plug a hole they found in the baseboard. He bought us breakfast the next day. The refrigerator was so loud we had to unplug it at night. The air conditioner was not installed properly and cold air came in through the gaps between it and the wall. We had to cover the whole thing with towels. The room was clean and the shower worked well. the grounds were nice and well maintained.
