SKIP THE AIPORT HOTELS AND HIT THE BEACH 15 MINUTES AWAY!
Business travelers don't want you to know this....but Hermosa Beach is only 15 minutes from the airport in the morning...but it is world's away in style. The Hampton Inn isn't on the beach, but if you are lucky enough to get a room with the West view...you'll see the pacific ocean. Large, clean, and comfortable rooms, the Hampton Inn Hermosa gives you a chance to experience laid back California beach culture without having to stress about your flight time. Tip:Check into the hotel, then head to Mama D's Manhattan Beach for an awesome Italian dinner on the cheap or head to the Poop Deck in Hermosa for a beer before it's gone (sold to land developers).

A room with a (partial) view
I have stayed at this hotel several times. I like the location and the ocean views from the room, even if the are slightly obstructed. The Hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. There is a grocery store and (my favorite) a Jamba Juice directly across the street. The beach and many restaurants and bars are within walking distance.

Business meets Pleasure
I found this litttle diamond in the rough on a recent business trip in LA area. It was nice to go back to my room at night and have the ocean effect and beach town ammentities at the end of a long day.

Dumb review
Arrived late and room was located on main street side of motel. Street noise was very strong and detracted from stay. Bathroom shower leaked and dripped continuously. Due to the lateness of my staty I did not complain about the room, but for the cost per night I didn't think I needed to. All in all it was a nice place but noisy and bathroon in slight disrepair.

Walk to the Beach Pier in 10 Minutes
This Hampton Inn has a very cute terra cotta look and is right on Pacific Coast Highway. While my only complaint is the small size and amenities in the fitness room, you can make up for it on a 10-minute walk to Pier Street for dinner on the beach. Sunsets are gorgeous from your spacious balcony. This is my new go-to lodging for my L.A. work trips.
