5 Stars, All The Way
This is my second stay with this hotel. The location is simply wonderful; away from the hustle and bustle of midtown, on the Hudson. The park is just across the street, which lends to wonderful walks along the waterfront.The staff, from the doorman to the front desk and waiters were all very polished and professional. The hotel lobby and lounges are very upscale, and the hotel room is pristine and simply perfect! The view of the Statue of Liberty from our room never fails to amaze me, and having a telescope in the room is an added bonus!Staying at this hotel is worth every penny!!

Nice location but rooms need refurbishment
The Ritz Carlon is very well located on Battery pak with nice view on the harbour rooms are confortable but needs refurbishment to meet five stars properties like the Peninsulathere is no decent spa and the gym equipment is poorwould still recommend the hotel as the staff is very friendly and prices are affordable

Awesome suite, great service, and easy access everything in lower Manhattan!
Amy and I brought our three girls (15, 5, and 4) to a fast and furious tour of the City for the Memorial Day weekend... and chose to stay at the Ritz Battery Park for Saturday night. We got a huge suite on the 3rd floor. While it did not face the Statue of Liberty, all else was grand and way over the top of our expectations.When the front desk guy said this was a large room, he wasn't kidding! There was a large entry, with a half bath and a bar, then access into the large living room with a modern partners desk setup to one side. The queen sized pull out sleeper was perfect for our oldest. And we had a crib for the youngest which was setup quickly after our request (this was around 12:30 am!!)The Master suite had a king bed, a sitting area, large flat panel TV (didn't watch anything), a walk-in closet that was nearly the size of other normal NYC hotel rooms, and a gigantic bathroom, which included a soaking tub, a two-person shower, separate toilet area, and his/her counters facing a large mirror.Since it was Saturday night... there was a wedding in the downstairs function area... which was just one floor below us. We could all hear the pounding beat of what was DJ music. While JQ and YV were already asleep... there's no way the rest of us would given the proximity of the music. The first time I called, I was told they were about to wrap up... and the music should be going too much longer, if at all.We had to order some room service anyway, so I was OK... by the time our French Onion soup and New York Cheesecake arrived... the music had not subsided. It was after 1am, so I called the second time, and sure enough, within a few minutes the music ended. I had to be a party-pooper especially for a wedding, but we did see a whole bunch of guests leaving already... and their time was set to end at mid-night... so at least the one extra hour was reasonable for us tired travelers! (Sorry... whomever you are if you're reading this post.)The soup was piping hot, which is the only way I like soup... and the cheese with tons of onions and rye bread base was fantastic... Amy ordered it to keep things light. I'd say the broth was definitely rich with flavor but light on the stomach! However, the Cheesecake was a totally different matter...The three of us could not get enough of the wonderful cheesecake with strawberries on the side. The crust was super good, just the right thickness on the bottom, and just slightly more on the side... sheer perfect for an after mid-night snack.The next morning, we all prepared for check-out... it was a one night stay, at a beautiful place with a huge room that our girls will always remember!

Great hotel - a different New York
If you're used to mid-town, staying down south gives a whole new perspective to New York.The hotel is high quality (same level as any four seasons or ritz carlton anywhere).Very clean, modern, great food and great service.The linnen, towels, carpet and furniture is new and well kept.The hotel staff is great and the view is fantastic.A great place if you like the park in the early morning and if you're working downtown, its well located (not necessarily walking distance, but a short ride).The only low point is that its very quiet at night. Not many people in the streets and you probably won't feel very safe to walk after 10pm in the streets at night. Otherwise, if you have a car or get a cab, there is no issue at all.I loved it.

Usually Amazing
We stay here every time we are in NY and always have a great experience. Front desk clerk Lee is very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, this stay we had someone who not only put us in a room with two doubles when we specifically booked a room with a king bed (he was then annoyed with s because we wouldn't accept the room assignment and told us he had no ther rooms). After we asked to see a manager he miraculously found us the room category we booked. Everything after that was terrific. It was a shame to start off our stay with such an unpleasant experience. Room service is friendly and prompt. Breakfast is delicious (the biggest eggs I have ever seen in my life) I would recommend this hotel . Very clean, comfortable and quiet location.
