Exceptional Hotel Experience
I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn when working in Lower Manhattan, something I've done several times in the past. The shuttle service to the ferry in the morning works as advertised and the commute and view from the SI ferry is incredible! To make this commute requires a bit more planning and time, but to return "home" to the hotel in the evening is well worth it . I again had exceptional service, from the front desk, to the shuttle drivers, to my favorite wait staff, Osmund. The dining in Lorenzos is consisently great, and where can a guest visit with the property owners (Rich and Lois Nicotra) other than at this hotel. I look forward to another visit when I return East.

HGI - Staten Island
I stay at the HGI almost exclusively when travling in the NY area either on business or for personal reasons. The best asset of the property is the staff. Always very courteous, responsive and dedicated to making your stay as good as possible. The property is busy during the week hosting community and local business activities, and very busy with social and family activities on the weekend. Although adequate, the older rooms do need a makeover, but I believe this is planned.

A Softer & Fuller Pillow
The hotel experience from arrival to departure was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food in the resterant and service in the bar were excellent. My only complaint was with the pillows, a trivial complaint. One other problem was making the printer work in the business center.

Staten Island HGI
Big hotel, only one washer and dryer. Good internet speed, but several tv channels glitched constantly. Lobby is a complete and total zoo on the weekends. Loud bar on one side, live band on the other side. Parking can be a nightmare.
