Slightly older hotel in the process of renovation, but the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing seems to be too much trouble. Comfortable clean rooms, great food in the restaurant, short walk into the town centre, good location.

Bearable, disappointing.
Pros: good location, free w-fi large rooms, clean and well furnished.Cons: spotty wifi and tv reception, small and poorly designed bathroom, parking at a premium at night.Not really a resort.Restaurant is so-so. Needs an overhaul.

Best place in town for a week long event
I was here the Ingerekke Commercial Mountain Bike Enduro. As you could imagine, the requirements of 200 mountain bikers and all their equipment descending on Alice Springs for a week of racing outdoors would provide a fair amount of logistical challenges uncommon to many other big events.I felt the Cheifly catered well for these unique requirements and did well in their provision of food, accommodation and organisational space - as well as being ideally located as the start/finish spot for many of the stages.Looking forward to staying here again in May next year for the next one.

Good value, good location
We thought the standard rooms at this hotel offered excellent value. Our ground floor room was quiet, well furnished and sparkling clean. We were out for breakfast and lunch but enjoyed two dinners on the terrace overlooking the pool, good food at city restaurant prices, pleasant service from delightful, helpful backpackers who did their job well. The hotel is a short flat walk from the centre of Alice Springs. We would stay there again.

Great place to lay your head
This place is on Todd River and we had unit overlooking this . Balcony overlooking river so lovely to it in sun for drink at night.Clean and well appointed . Big room which had everything we needed .Too cold or the pool but that looked inviting .You could do worse than this place.
