Typical hotel
It's very close to the airport, right off the highway, so there is easy access. Upon check in, you are given a 20% off coupon for the Panorama Bar & Grill. The staff was nice, the hotel lobby looked to be clean. I stayed in the tower rooms. Nothing spectacular or special. The rooms themself were ok, the chair was stained and a bit dirty, the carpet was in ok shape, the bathroom was small, but clean. Typical amentities. There is a coffee maker, safe and fridge. I've had the AC on now for 30 hours straight, not cold enough to shut it off. The beds are not that comfortable, but the pillows are. It's a bit noisy from the freeway traffic, but if you keep your fan on or are a heavy sleeper, you should be ok. There is no complimentary breakfast. The continental breakfast will set you back $13.95, and then up from there. They do offer room service. Parking is however, free. It's very close to gas stations, Starbucks is about a mile away. It's a bit isolated from any restaurants. Nothing I can see within walking distance. It's about 20-25 minutes down to the marina.

Pricey For An Average Stay
This was a 3 day Business Stay. I normally stay away from the full Service Hotels, but my regular Hotel was fully booked. Front Desk people were OK.Rooms are medium size & clean. Large flat screen with about 25 channels. There was not much worth watching, and when there was something interesting, the reception was terrible. Picture became blocky, and froze every few minutes. Crystal clear skies outside, so it can¿¿¿t be blamed on the weather. Large glass top work desk which was well lit, and had enough electrical outlets for my chargers and computer. Heat/AC was quiet and effective. Free internet was sufficient, but a lot of logging in was required.The bed was comfortable but felt well used. Traffic noise was constant, and Airport noise was moderate. I was on the 10th floor, so lower floors must have heavier traffic noise.They advertise balconies in each room, but at about 18 to 24 inches, they¿¿¿re standing room only.The bathroom was slightly small. Hot water was fast, and pressure was good.Breakfast was average and a little high priced.I found the whole experience a bit pricey, for an average stay.

Ok Holiday Inn.
Huge hotel. Right at Long Beach airport. I stay in many hotels and don't mind walking to restaurants and stores. But for being in a huge city like Long Beach. You are very isolated at this location. Hotel shuttle will take you upon availability. No microwave or fridge. So for us frequent travelers, I think that sucks. If you have your own car. This place is an excellent location.

Bad Experience...
I booked a room late in the evening, paid for my room, then waited outside for a friend to show up. After 90 minutes, they didn't show up so I told the front desk I didn't need the room afterall and asked for a refund. I spent maybe 5 minutes in the room total. The young man said I had to speak to a manager. I called three times and finally spoke with Tiffany today. She said that eventhough I didn't use the room and left shortly after, they cannot refund any or a partial amount back to me. Needless to say, if they were more amicable and understanding, I would be a repeat client and refer my friends and family to the hotel, but they weren't/aren't. They won't be getting any more of my business.

I stayed here for one night during a convention at the Queen Mary! Service was great! Rooms are big and they have a sliding glass door and a little balcony. Rooms were clean & comfortable! Great for a short or long stay! I will definitely stay here again!
