Great location
I stayed at the Mirambeena for one week for business. I stayed in a motel style room on the third floor. The hotel is very centrally located with a Woolworths supermarket and other shops directly across the road. You can walk to the Harbour water park in about 10 minutes.The room was clean and comfortable and there was no noise from the outside world. The pool area is also very good. I did not use the restaurant as there are many restaurants and take always in nearby Mitchell and Smith streets.

Great Stay
This was our first stay and it was great. The staff were very hepful. The housekeeping did a lovely job in our room. The location was brilliant, just about close to everything. The pool was a pleasant surprsie. Allthough found a cane toad in one of the baby pools. Let the staff know and they removed it straight away. The staff were knowldegable and gave us a lot of local tips. We didnt eat at the restaurant, but had a few drinks at the bar, which i thought was a bit pricey initally. One our 3rd day one of staff recommended Fiddlers green at the waterfront to us, place was a delight as well. The drinks there are also similarly priced as the Mirambeena. One thing however are the drunk locals hanging around the resort. I encountered at least 2 occasions when the staff had to escort them away from the premises. Other than that, great stay. Will definatly be back

Out of Order!
Where do I start? I will start with a positive, the room was clean.Everything around the resort was out of order, washing machines, computers, literally half the equipment in the fitness room. The aircon in the fitness room was full of mildew and smelled disgusting. The pool area is damaged and untidy, never any pool towels available. The staff are not overly helpful and don't seem to care.The rooms are falling apart and are in desperate need of attention. There is rubbish in the garden outside our room, looks like its been there for awhile.To top off our Mirambeena experience , we caught one of the delightful guests peeing on a wall within the resort.My advice is, avoid this place I definitely won't be back.

Happy stay
We stayed for 11 days just last week. Didn't rate Treetops restaurant much.Overall, the lodge is reasonable for its age. We found all staff to be helpful and friendly.Pool towels were available upon request as they were disappearing with certain guests.The barbecue area near the laundry was left a mess by inconsiderate guests on a couple of occasions.Also, sleeping was difficult at times throughout the night as some guests did not think to be a little quiet going back to their rooms.The location was brilliant, so close to everything in the CBD.In summary, the lodge was a nice place to stay with great staff...we miss the pools and slushies!Definitely would stay again!

Never Again
The only positive is the location. Been many times over the past 8 years but this is the last time. It's run down, taps drip, fans are noisy. Staff have no idea. Much better places close by at similar prices.
