Loved it, excellent first stop
The Sunway resort was my first stop in Kuala Lumpur. I have got an upgrade upon my arrival to a suite which I really loved.The hotel room was beautifully decorated and was very quiet although it was on the third floor very close and overlooking the sunway lagoon park. The service and breakfast was great, the shopping mall adjacent to the hotel had many good restaurants and was great for shopping although it was a bit crowded because it was the weekend. I didn't visit the park but it looked great for families with kids.After a 2 night stay I took a bus from the shopping mall (Aeroline) to Penang which I recommend for anyone going to Penang as their next destination.

Great stay with watermark and shopping mall
Sunway is a large development including a resort hotel and spa. This hotel is located very close to highways which make it very accessible to to wherever you are heading. Traffic in KL/PJ is always unpredictable and horrible during rush hours. If you plan out your day, you should be fine. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly. A large shopping mall, Sunway Pyramid is located within walking distance (through a walkway) to the hotel. The restaurants within the hotel offer good food too. If you are looking for a hotel outside of Kuala Lumpur city, consider this hotel.

Sunway Resort and Spa-excellent hotel
I had a great time in Sunway. The staff are very pleasant, cheerful and they really talk to you. They always open the door for you and someone offered to carry my shopping bags to my room. The lobby has elegant African style theme. The rooms have spacious and comfortable beds and have great views of either swimming pool or the Sunway Lagoon. The only thing i dont like in my room is how the toilet sink, bath tub and toilet seat is arranged. The toilet door is also showing sign of wear and tear. The facilities such as the Fitness Center and Swimming pool are also great. Guests dont have to fight as there are plenty of equipments in the gym and beds for relaxin in the pool area. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Kids have fun
We stayed at the Sunway resorts as we were taking the kids (boy 12yrs & daughter 5yrs) to the Sunway Lagoon park. The location is ideal for this as you can walk straight to the park from the hotel. In addition the hotel opens into a large mall which has everything from designer shops to restaurants.The hotel room was large. We took 2 connecting rooms (booked thru Agoda). The condition of the carpeting showed that the time had come for replacement. As we drove from Singapore & wanted to spend time at the park this was great otherwise one can get cheaper deals for city hotels in KL
