Pervasive Smoking Smell Ruined Otherwise Good Experience
Stayed for 5 days/4 nights on April 2013. Booked executive suite.Located steps away from Tennozu Isle monorail station. About 25 minutes direct route to Haneda airport (which handles mostly domestic flights).Booked executive suite, the largest suite available. Rack rate of $1,000 per night but only $330 per night off-season.Very spacious, well equiped suite with great views and many features. Caution: Some amenities such as premium shampoo costs extra.Hotel occupies top seven floors of 30 story office tower so all rooms are on high floor.Decent eating options on ground floor. Udon/ramen eatery is tasty and cheap, hotel buffett is disappointing and overpriced.COMPLAINT: Booked most expensive suite available but otherwise good experience was ruined by strong pervasive smoking odor throughout the unit! Strangely enough there is not a single non-smoking executive suite in the entire hotel! Management did try their best, sending two air freshener units, which slightly alleviated the most unpleasant smell. ADVICE: Strongly suggest booking large room possible. Most Japanese hotel rooms are quite small compared to Western standards. However, Japanese hotel SUITES are comparable in size to their Western cousins.

Very good service at reception, otherwise a very boring normal hotel with boxlike rooms
so this is just another faceless hotel, named whatever people come up with, nothing special. Our stay was very economical (with breakfast we paid 130Euro!!) / but then its about 30 euro to Tokyo Station by Taxi. One real plus, the reception is run to a very high professional standard.Thankyou, this made up for the boxlike rooms.

Could be improved...
We stayed only one night after booking via Hotel.com. Upon arriving at the hotel by taxi, the bell boy ignored us till we pulled our luggage out of the taxi ourselves and started towards the sliding doors. He took 2 bags out of 3 and went to the lobby upstairs. The checkin staff was helpful and professional. I am not sure why, but he never offered us any help with luggage either. My 80 years old mother and I had to lug our 3 bags plus 2 smaller pieces to our room. Bell boys stared at us but no one came to help. Maybe it is because we paid a lower price via Hotel.com? Having only one English channel was a bit limited. I asked them why CNN was in Japanese and I was told it was the "Japanese hour". I asked the lady when the "Japanese hour" would finish. She put me on hold for a long time, then she said she didn't know and she would call back. Much later, she called back and said there was a "Language" button on the remote which would switch the language to English. Now why she was not trained on something as elementary as that is beyond comprehension. We had afternoon tea at the restaurant. It was relaxing if expensive. A very small piece of cake plus coffee was Yen1200++. The location is far from anything tourist would be interested in. For us, it was ok. We just wanted to rest before going to the airport on the monorail.Having no wifi anywhere in the hotel is very annoying. If you are on business in the area, this may be a good hotel for you.

Wonderful hotel to stay, especially coming from Haneda airport.
We stayed one night at Dai-Ichi Tokyo Seafort hotel. Hotel check-in counter is located at the second floor, we got room # 2723; this is the superior room facing the harbor. Our room is very large and modern with two double beds. The beds are firm and comfortable; the bedding sheets and duvet are soft. Bathroom is spacious and clean. The amenities provided in the room are: shampoo set, tooth brush set, disposable razor, bathrobe, slippers, shower cap, comb and hair dryer; hot water cattle and tea bags as well as a small mini bar (some beers and soft drinks - these are not free). There is free (wired) Internet access in the room and complimentary English newspaper is provided in the morning. By the way, like in any Japanese hotel (my opinion of five hotels), as the only English-speaking channel CNN is available, but not by default setting you have to read manual to learn how to switch into English language. Currency exchange service is also available in this hotel. Breakfast was not included in the price. There are at least three restaurants inside the hotel and many more restaurants and caf¿¿s in the center building (connected with hotel). There is also a convenient store - 7-Eleven, from there we bought breakfast meals. For dinner, if you don¿¿¿t want to eat at hotel restaurant, there are many choices to choose from in the center building, such as steak house, Italian cuisine and Japanese and Korean cuisines just to name few. We wanted to have Japanese food on that night, but it was closed at 8pm. Nevertheless, we had a nice dinner at Korean restaurant. Back to hotel we went to Seafort Club located on the 28th floor, it is a bar with view of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge, but too many people on that night (wedding party) and we did not stay.In addition to many restaurants and caf¿¿s in the center building, there is a drugstore, a post office and Citibank ATM, very convenient for travelers. Here are some tips for using public transportation to go to this hotel:1. Very easy if coming form Haneda Airport, simply take the Haneda Airport Monorail, and get off at Tenn¿¿zu Isle station (10-15 minutes), the hotel is right there in the same building!2. This is the way we took. From Shinjuku Sta, taking Yamanote Line towards Shinagawa direction, got off at Osaki, then changing into Saikyo Line towards Shin-Kiba, got off at station of Tennozu-Isle. Taking Exit B, came out on the street, turn left, walked about 3 min and cross the first street you meet with; from there turn right, now you are facing Tennozu St. cross the street again at green traffic light, after reach the other side of the street turn left and walking about 3 minutes and now you should see three highrise buildings (101m high) on you right. These three buildings compose of ¿¿¿Seafort Square¿¿¿ used by Citigroup, JTB Corp and many other companies. The Dai-Ichi hotel is in the center building. The other landmark is ¿¿¿Tennoz The Galaxy Theater¿¿¿ which is located in the same building. For me there is only one shortcoming, but not for hotel itself. For people as pure tourists, the location of this hotel is bit far away from other attractions. Tourists don¿¿¿t want to spend too much time on riding also the network of public transportation in Tokyo is very good and convenient.

Stay only if it is convenient
Let me start by saying that this hotel is very clean and tidy, however I feel it is a little over priced. The room rate is okay however you then pay for breakfast and there is no gym. There is access to one in a nearby building however this costs an additional 2,000 Yen.I stayed here recently for business.Having taken an overnight flight into Haneda Airport, it is a breeze to take the monorail directly to Tenoz Station ( about 15 minutes ) and then be within the same complex that the hotel is located. The hotel was very willing to offer an early check-in however your do pay for it and depending upon how early you are this can be quite an expensive option. The rooms are modest. Mine came with two single beds but the romm is a bit austere.CNN is available as the only english speaking channel however you have tolisted intently between the Japanese translation that is also being narrated. The bathroom is a modest size and has a shower over a bath. The water pressure is excellent and there is plentiful hot water. The bed's well let's be kind and say they are firm. Very firm.I did not eat at the hotel, however there is a restuarant. For breakfast I chose the coffee shop in hotel mall complex.I departed Tokyo via Narita Airport and there is an Airport Shuttle available for 3,000 Yen and this departs at scheduled times.Over all this was a convenient place to stay but nothing special.
