Nice quiet place - would def come back
I stayed here as I had an exam close to the location of the hotel. It was a really good hotel. Reading the reviews it seems there might be different rooms in the hotel, I was in room 725 and it was a really great room. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. I was put in a room in the 2nd floor which overlooked offices and I asked if I could be shifted to another room higher up and overlooking the lake and park. They were more than happy to do that for me and shifted me to a room with a bigger bed with no extra cost.There is also free internet in the lobby which was great! A bit slow but hey its free!Location: not that close to the central city, which might be a nuisance for some people. However, there is a tram that is really close by. There is also cafes and Mcdonalds and a subway close by.Only time i've heard this place might be noisy is when they have the Formula which is done at the park right in front of the hotel. However, you probably might be there for the Formula itself which makes it quite a great location for it

Nice Stay - Great Location - Excellent Value for Money
A nice cozy, quiet place with a beautiful view of Albert Park. Centrally located with access to the Tram Service on St Kilda Road available at the back of the hotel. Short inexpensive trips via. taxi to shopping and many of the major attractions around Melbourne is accessible. It may not be the 'fashiest of hotels', but it is clean and comfy (soft bed and pillows with fluffy duvet) with the most beautiful wall decorations. The staff are wonderful and friendly and the food was "Great". What is even better, is that everything was reasonably priced. This is highly recommended as a good value for money stay.

Expected a bit more for the money
The location is good, only ten minutes on the tram to the city or St Kilda. The room was pretty clean, although somehow they managed to miss the long hairs in the sink. The bed and pillows were uncomfortably soft. The mini-bar was also incredibly expensive (even for a hotel).I think it was about $40 more than the room was worth and for the price you can do better.

Nice stay
Nice place to stay, hotel staff very friendly. The Spa is in need of renovation and the sauna wasnt working. Location was ok but as the tram was interrupted we were only able to take a cab into town, which is a shame.

Great location - value for money
Great location - the staff were wonderful at the front desk. They were very happy to extend our stay by an hour which was greatly appreciated. Whilst it is not the 'flashiest'of hotels, it is good value for money in a good location. We would stay there again. Highly recommend the pillows!!!
