We arrived at 2am to a lovely welcome, the reception team were very welcoming and helpfull. Lovely hot shower after a long flight from London and then a good sleep in a comfortable bed. Good location, few minutes walk to the Jetty for our Swan River Cruise. Lots of places to eat close by.

Pleasant stay
Was on a busman's holiday and stayed here for 5 days in an Executive King Room.Location, location, location, smack bang in the CBD, great as I had conferences to attend.Checking in/checking out was efficiently catered by friendly attentive staff.Room was large and well appointed, full marks to the cleaning lady for keeping it spic & span.Drank daily at the CBD bar and had dinner there on a couple nights, food was of an acceptable quality. Recommend the inclusion of a few Asian type food in the menu, noticed a few house guest was from Japan and Hong Kong.Overall, I have enjoyed my short stay and will stay again end of May.

Not as good as it used to be
It's been probably two years since I last stayed a Rydges Perth, and unfortunately I must say standards have slipped. I was offered an 'upgrade' but really it wasn't - maybe just a slightly larger room. The bed was sloping to one side, and the room was near the service elevator/ doorway which was a bit noisy. The room itself was beginning to age, and to be honest there was nothing 'special' about the being there. Perth actually has some really nice hotels so every reason for management to do all they can to make your stay special, but they missed the mark this time. No pool and the location doesn't provide for easy taxi pick up - no taxi rank outside and quite a wait for a taxi. Bit sad because my previous stays were quite nice. I think I'll take a break for a while now.

Good CBD location, average hotel
Stayed a night at Rydges, where I have stayed previously. Its in a great spot for the shopping (Paris!!) end of the CBD. Much nicer than a bunch of hotels which are down the east end of the Terrace. I had a room on the 10th floor with a fairly drearyNorthern view over the city.The room itself was large, clean, but very boring. The sidewalk bar is a good place to people watch. Internet access (wifi and wired) costs $18 per day, or half price if you are a Rydges club member (which is free). I got my fee refunded because the Internet access failed for the night I was there. The room was pretty pricey at just over $300, but Perth is an expensive place these days.

Excellent location in the heart of Perth
This hotel is in a really good location. Its situated right in the city, just walking distance to the mall, cafes, high end shops etc.The room was comfortable, nice size, got everything you need. The only downside, when I tried to make a cuppa, there is no power point in the bedroom. I need to plug the kettle in the bathroom. The power point in the room is near the floor and the kettle cord is really short, no table close to the power point, you can boil the water on the floor...The bed was comfortable, nice pillows, tv channels was ok. The wifi is not free, I think these days wifi should be free.The lobby area can be a bit noisy, specially on the weekend, because it's open to the bar /restaurant area but you cannot hear it once you enter the lift.This is an excellent hotel if you are in town for business or pleasure.
