Excellent hotel and courteous/respectful staff
My recent stay at Loews Madison Hotel was for 4 nights during a business conference at the convention centre. This hotel goes above and beyond with their service. All staff are very friendly, helpful and "classy". An additional bonus is that free wifi service is provided in the guest rooms as well as the lobby. Rooms are clean and comforatable with fabulous updated bathroom facitlities. My only suggestion is to remove the carpets from the guest rooms and replace with flooring. I used the business office for online checkin for my flight and to print boarding passes - perfect! My colleague used the fitness facilities and reported that they were good. The Federalist restuarant was a bit pricey and the menu was very, very limited especially at lunch on the week-ends. I had a superb stay and recommend this hotel.

Great Stay
We visited in April 2013 for three nights. The location is about half a mile from The White House and around a mile from The National Mall. If you are not averse to walking you can do most of the memorials on foot, but it will take you a day.The breakfasts are excellent, try and get an inclusive rate if you can, and the rooms are well furnished and clean. The location is relatively quiet if you don't like city noise.We ate in the hotel restaurant for two nights. The food was good but not outstanding as was the service.We would stay there again.

Immaculate Hotel
We stayed at The Madison Hotel. The rooms were gorgeous. The location was pretty good. It was about a three block walk to the Metro. There were several restaurants within walking distance. The housecleaning staff did a phenomenal job fulfilling our requests each day for coffee/creamer/sweetener. The best of all is that each room has its own Keurig!! I will stay here again.

Look no further
Fantastic Hotel. Within walking distance to most attractions. The Mall is just 15 minutes walk from this hotel. We Walked everywhere from our stay at the Madison, and I don't love walking but this was very do-able. The restaurant was good, the bar was lovely, nice staff and a great selection of drinks. The decor is fab in the hotel in general and in the rooms also. The bedrooms are a good size although our view was the back of another building but we weren't there for the view from the hotel. Staff are accommodating without being too full on. All in all would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Washington. (we were close to booking the Washington Hilton but having spotted where that was located we were definitively happier having booked the Madison)

Lovely facility, challenging location
This is a beautiful facility but not conveniently located near the subway or local attractions. The staff is friendly and professional and the rooms are lovely. Some of the museums were within walking distance but we did end up taking cabs to the war memorials, Smithsonians, and the Verizon Center for a Caps game.My only negative feedback was with respect to the condition of the seating in the lobby. The chairs and sofas need to be replaced as their springs are shot.
