Great hotel!!!
I stayed at this hotel on a trip with family. This is a beautiful hotel in every way. The architecture of the building is impressive and the decor inside matches the beauty of the exterior. The staff are professional and accommodating. Everything is well maintained, clean and gleaming. The location is wonderful and I challenge you to better views of the city during either day or night than from the Top of the Mark restaurant/lounge/club. I was inspired!

Great location Directly on Cable Car Route
Spent 4 nights at this location. The hotel and the service was spot on no complaints. This is a upscale hotel, however we seem to find an extremely good rate that made it that much better.The beds and pillows are some of the best I have ever slept on. Only issue that put be off was that you had to pay $14/day for internet. Which seems odd at any hotel regardless of price.

Old Hotel Charm with outstanding service and classic upscale amenities.
Wonderful place to stay. No this not a modern hotel nor state of the art amenities. This hotel is a throw back to the old classic hotel stays of the past. Location is amazing and just a quick walk to Union Square. Rooms are simple yet charming. Parking is valet only. Trolly passes hotel and many really nice restaurants surround the area. I will be back and very much enjoyed my stay. Recommended for IHG Priority Club Members. I recieved room upgrade, free wifi and club access for being an Platinum Ambassador.

Shop for a deal, and treat yourself!
We just wanted to visit San Francisco during the holiday season, and found a good price just before Christmas and New Years. Make sure that your deal includes the free breakfast, which is extremely nice! Park at the public garage just one block away, next to the church, for the best parking rate. You can walk to and from Union Square, if you are able to handle the steep hills, which we did after a nice dinner at a small restaurant near the hotel. Giving yourself a luxury treat does not have to be expensive, if you pick your days just right.

You get what you pay for.
This was an amazing hotel with old world charm and service. Although, we received a discounted rate by booking blind from Hotels.com they really sock it to you with the surcharges. Parking at the Hotel was $52.00 per day! ! ! Parking and incidentals cost us over $150.00 for a 2 night stay but it was truly an exceptional hotel. There is a lot of history. The Top of the Mark Restaurant/Martini Bar located at the top offers amazing views but is also really expensive. This place was popular during World War II - this is where our Military would "hang out." The hotel is located atop Nob Hill and our room had an amazing view of the bay with cable cars whizzing by. We arrive with our 6 year old daughter and they upgraded us to a much larger corner room at no extra cost. Cable cars were albeit noisy but gave you the true feel of being in San Francisco. I advise to take a Taxi from the airport and utilize the BART and Cable Car system as parking is rather expensive. This place truly takes you back in time.
