All about the details...
On the outside, the hotel isnt crazy special. It has nice amenities and a good location and decent rooms. Its the little details that make this place great. The scratches in the elevator are filled in and re-stained. The gym has a personal trainer always on staff (I think), who is always there to give free advice. The sauna is always hot. When I leave my room the cleaning staff seems to always come in right after I leave, turns down my bed, organizes the candy on the desk, tucks in the chairs, cleans and organizes my toiletries and even sees that I have glasses and leaves a cleaning cloth beside them. Their attention to detail is truly amazing. Above all things, the staff at this place are really what make it better then the rest. I've stayed at numerous good hotels in Vancouver, and they always feel like a airport, nice clean but impersonal, here they make the little extra effort that makes a big overall difference. Keep up the good work.

I had a great experience with every level of the hotel -- from the bellhop, to the concierge, to the front desk and wonderful dining! It's a superb location and close to everything, while offereing a wonderful pool/spa experience.

Great choice in downtown
I booked this hotel on hotwire and got it for a great price. I phoned the hotel to ask about a cot because the room only had double beds and there were 3 of us. My daughters arrived on their own the first night and without asking they were given a room with 2 doubles and a sofa bed on the 25th floor. I'm guessing this is a great upgrade from the standard hotwire room. We loved getting off the skytrain and going through the mall to the hotel. The attached mall was great and very convenient. Didn't eat at the restaurant but we used the health club a lot. A nice warm pool, good workout equipment and lots of coffee, tea, flavored water and fruit. Very pretty outdoor courtyard at health club but it was too cool outside to enjoy it while we were there. Room decor was basic but there was a window that opened and we always like that. Lots of counter space and a large room. Washroom was upgraded, nice size. The hotel is not posh but it seemed to be in a very safe location, great friendly service. Quick walk to the waterfront and restaurants. Overall good choice unless you want something that looks really posh.

Great location, perfect service
I stayed four nights here whilst on business. My first time in Vancouver.Arrived from the airport via the Canada line, walking through the Pacific Centre to get to the hotel. Very handy if it is raining!Check in was super fast and friendly. In fact, the service from all staff was outstanding. Breakfast was good in that you could have a la carte if you have a European size appetite ;-) just if you bring your own tea and ask for hot water, they try to charge $5 for it. It got taken off though after I asked if hot water really cost that much. The pear cocktail in the evening was out of this world.Stephanie at the concierge desk recommended great restaurants :-)I had the luxury of an Executive Suite city view, room 1701. It was directly opposite the elevators, but as it has a separate bedroom, and as the bathroom is between it and the hall, I heard no noise from the elevator or the hall. King size bed, down duvet, slept like a log.Now, the only thing that prevents me giving full marks, is the size of the bathroom. Tiny is being kind. When you sit on the toilet, you bang your left elbow on the glass shower screen (obviously used to be a curtain, and they " upgraded" it). Also getting in and out of the shower involves some gymnastics with the foldable part of the screen, as you can't fold it outwards because of the toilet being in the way! But, they had extremely fluffy towels, not hard worn out ones like in other places.If you can get a deal, you can't go wrong here.
