Amazing hotel on Disney property
My husband and I decided to take our honeymoon at DisneyWorld. As I had never been I completely guessed when I reserved this hotel. I was greatly rewarded! I was met at the front door by Chip, who knew our names and is quite possibly one of the friendliest people I have ever met! He took us right up to our room (even though we were three hours early) and helped us find our way around the resort. We stayed on the club level (highly recommend) and this had our own consierge, morning breakfast bar, afternoon snack, and evening appetizers. Our room was located on the lagoon side and we were able to watch the fireworks from Epcot every night. it is wonderfully located for walking to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or the Boardwalk. The pool is amazing and is a must see (even if you fear public pools as I do). The staff were the best I have ever encountered and truly lived up to Disney's magical reputation!

Better than advertised
I had a chance to stay at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club for business, however my review is through the eyes of someone with a family on a Disney vacation.I have stayed at the Grand Floridian, which is supposed to be the best resort at Disney World, but the Yacht Club does not disappoint and I'd be tempted to say it is better value. Yes, nothing beats the Floridian's superb lobby, but the Yacht Club has a lot going for it. First of all, you will save about $100 a night for the same size room. Rooms are a good size with lots of storage for a family and every room has a balcony or patio. My only complaint? Disney washrooms are laughingly small. I'm not a big person and it was hard to maneuver around the tub and toilet. Ridiculous!The Yacht Club also has a great location. It's a ten minute walks to Epcot and less than 25 minutes to Hollywood Studios. The Yacht Club is also a five minute walk from the Boardwalk, a small stretch of restaurants and shops. I also thought the pool area was far superior. The main pool is massive and has real sand for the kids to build sand castles. It also has a lazy river and a great water slide. There are other pools as well, including a small one with a hot tub on the back side of the resort. I spent a morning at that pool and there never were more than five people at the pool.There are plenty of dining options as well with restaurants in the resort, choices at the Boardwalk and some high end options a ten minute walk away at the Dolphin and Swan including Shula's steak house and il Mulino, a nice Italian restaurant. I ate breakfast every day in the main cafe - the French toast and lemon ricotta hot cakes would be favorites. Meals were surprisingly affordable for a big resort hotel. Not cheap, but not ¿¿ber expensive either.Staying at a Disney resort isn't cheap but it is well worth it. Service is always good - friendly and attentive. There will be plenty for the kids to do - no shortage of activities. The food is good and there are lots of options to choose from. And of course, it is impeccably clean! Always!You can't go wrong with this choice. It's not quite "grand" like the Floridian, but it is awfully good.

Fantastic hotel walking distance to Epcot
Loved the Yacht Club for a quick 3 night weekend to Disney World with our adult sons and their girlfriends; one son works for Disney so we had discounted rooms. The hotel is huge and nicely decorated. We stayed on the Regatta Club level, which I highly recommend because it serves a complimentary breakfast and appetizers + beverages (including wine and beer) in the afternoon. Service was very good, especially the Regatta level concierge desk. We walked to Epcot from the hotel, which was great. You can also take a ferry to the different parks. Very pretty grounds and nice views. Wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely return!

10 min walk to Epcot!
If you like Epcot, you will love Yacht Club! This hotel is literally a 10 min walk to the back gate for Epcot. It is a large resort with a pretty nice pool and a ton of rooms. The staff is excellent and they have a decent place to eat. The themes are of course nautical and very cool (Disney does it well). It offers a great view of the lake and the boardwalk! You will not be disappointed.

Needs Improvement
This place used to be a fabulous hotel, but that was twenty years ago. Now, this property is badly in need of some serious renovations...furniture is banged-up, wallpaper and lamp shades are tattered, carpets are well-worn, etc. Truly an aging beauty...and not the type that's kept up with the Oil of Olay treatments. Along with the tattered furnishings, the service has also gone downhill substantially...which seems to be a Disney-wide phenomenon over the past decade. This said, however, you really can't beat the location, particularly if you enjoy EPCOT...which you can easily walk to from the hotel. The pool is also very nice. The Yachtsman's Steakhouse, much like the hotel itself, has gone incredibly downhill over the past several years...both in terms of the service and the food quality. Everything being considered, this hotel misses the mark, and is simply not worth the price tag...unless you really, really, really love EPCOT.
