Have stayed here a few times this was the first time with problems. As soon a we arrived we noticed there were hairs on the bathroom floor. We went to the front desk and they sent house keeping right up, the person on duty also said that they would be in touch to take care of us for our inconvenience we never heard anything from anybody. Second problem the were stains on the couch. We like to visit New York and stay in Jersey City because of the lower prices on hotels and restaurants. This Hyatt has always been the top location in Jersey City but they dropped the ball. When you pay top dollar you expect top service. This time they didn't meet expectations. I would stay here again because of location and the view of New York is wonderful.

My husband and I stayed here 1 night for a wedding. The hotel is huge and in a great location right on the water; it has a beautiful view of downtown Manhattan. Our room also had a beautiful view of the open water and was incredibly comfortable. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. We didn't try the restaurant but the bar was nice, which we went to for the wedding after-party. One complaint...we asked the concierge to call us a taxi and there was a lot of confusion, we almost got to the wedding late because we were waiting so long.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency for two nights, June 7 - 9th for a weekend girls trip to NYC. The hotel was absolutely amazing! It was conveniently located right beside the PATH station which made getting to and from the city a breeze! Along with being so close to the PATH station, the hotel is located right on the Hudson River and you have a beautiful view of Manhattan. You miss out on this beautiful view when you are staying in the city and it is a must see after the sun sets and the lights of New York begin to brighten the sky! It wasn't just the exterior surroundings that were beautiful, the hotel accommodations are top notch! The beds are heavenly and the room was so comfortable, even included a couch along the window to enjoy the view of the city!If all of this wasn't reason enough to stay at the Hyatt, the staff will surely convince you! From the bellmen and valets welcoming you as you enter to the front desk staff everyone was so friendly and professional. We arrived on a rainy Friday after a long drive. After heading up to our room to freshen up we decided to head out into the city. It was then that we discovered that my Mom had left her umbrella in the car. The wonderful valet went out to the car, got completely soaked and got my Mom's umbrella. He was so considerate and kind. Yvonne at the front desk who checked us in went above and beyond to make sure our trip was a once in a lifetime experience, even sending milk and cookies to our room! I could go on and on about this wonderful hotel. We will definitely be staying there again and if you're considering staying here - you should, you wont regret it!

The Hyatt Regency Jersey City was the ideal location for our first visit to New York. This hotel is literally on the Hudson River. Every room has a view of either the Manhattan skyline or the lower tip of the island and the Statue of Liberty. The riverfront promenade outside the hotel features great views of Manhattan's financial district, with the new World Trade Center rising above the rest of the skyscrapers in dramatic fashion.This is a full-service hotel, with a restaurant, bar, room service, idoor pool, fitness center, business center, gift shop and more. The rooms are quite comfortable with wonderful bedding, sofas and a nice desk. Bathrooms are well-appointed, and the rooms have refrigerators as well. This hotel is located in a commuter village area, which means many of the surrounding businesses close very early. For weary travelers arriving in the evening after a cross-country flight, this could pose a problem. But thanks the the room service available from the fine on-site restaurant, this was not a problem. We ordered-in shortly after arrival, and the food was wonderful. Convenience and location are the best features of this hotel. It sits right next-door to the Exchange Place PATH Station. Don't let the hotel's website fool you. The PATH station is open, and the trip to the World Trade Center station takes only three minutes. From there, it's a short walk to anyplace in lower Manhattan, and connections to the subways to get uptown are easy and plentiful. If you want a great hotel at a fraction of the price of comperable hotels in Manhattan, don't pass this place up. It's well worth the price, and the small amount of extra transit time will save you a great deal of money. The only negatives here were the lack of a spa, free parking, and reasonable on-site breakfast options, as well as the fact that Hyatt charges extra for everything under the sun. Those are what earned them a rating of 4 instead of 5.

Have stayed at the Hyatt Jersey City a few times in the past few years. Always our "go to" hotel outside of the city for a trip to NYC. Acces is easy from the west, parking on premises. The lobby is well done with views of the skyline-foreshadowing? The front desk staff is pleasant enough. The rooms are nice, nothing extraordinary but the view is breathtaking-either one. You can either get a view towards the NYC skyline or towards Lady Liberty. The light rail into the city is right across the street. If you are headed to New York but don't want the headache of getting "into" the city, then keep this one in mind. We will.
